* JustHereForGodzilla: A studio example; a lot of the interest in ''Turbo F.A.S.T.'' generates from ''{{Motorcity}}'' fans, since the former runs off a similar concept, animation style and even production team as the latter.
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: Many people find ''Turbo F.A.S.T.'' to be a huge improvement over the movie, with the snail characters being fleshed out ([[AdaptedOut though at the expense of the human characters from the movie]]) and the episodes having much more creative scenarios, [[SugarWiki/AwesomeArt not to mention an art production to die for.]]

** Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog inspired this film. Enough said.
** [[spoiler:A villain in ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'' is named Turbo...]] who is a racer and has similar ambitions to Turbo. They're both portrayed as protagonists in from where they're from. [[spoiler:Turbo is the hero in his ''Turbo Time'' game, while he's the main villain of the movie.]] As an added bonus, Sonic the Hedgehog, who inspired this film, appeared in ''Wreck-It Ralph.''
*** Speaking of Sonic, it was eventually announced in 2017 that the movie adaptation of the franchise will be produced by Tim Miller, the director of Creator/RyanReynolds' ''Film/Deadpool2016''.
*** And it gets better: Ben Schwartz, aka Skidmark, ''will be voicing Sonic.''
