* EnsembleDarkhorse: Grune easily became one of if not the most popular villain in the series, enough to be brought back once in Season 2 and become an AscendedExtra who gets SparedByTheAdaptation in [[WesternAnimation/Thundercats2011 the reboot]].
* HilariousInHindsight: Panthro comes across as the angriest of the Thundercats during this episode -- he hates being used for TheWorfEffect ("Stronger than me?! NOT LIKELY!"), his BerserkButton is pressed repeatedly as his technology is destroyed, and he refuses to forgive the Bolkins who released Grune. The makers of the 2011 reboot apparently decided to just run with this and made Panthro instead of Jaga Grune's ArchEnemy.
