* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Creator/NickFrost gets a lot of praise for how, instead of playing the ManChild of the group, he takes the role of the StraightMan and utterly aces it. ** Pegg also shows how capable he is of being the ManChild to Nick Frost's StraightMan, as where it's been the otherway around for most of their films.

Gary's depression is foreshadowed at several points throughout the film, so the reveal of his suicide attempt doesn't qualify as an Ass Pull.

Gary's definitely not a sociopath. Doesn't even need to be brought up, especially since it could be seen as disparaging towards people with severe depression, which the film implies Gary has

*** Could be a sociopath. He only cares about himself, he uses violence and emotional manipulation to get his way, and repeatedly abandons his friends in their time of need.
