Right before this, when Rico falls unconscious and starts dreaming, the other Penguins essentially swoon over him in his sleep, but in that instance they treat him more like a pet than anything.

**When you see Skipper sink into the ocean after his memory is erased, you see him pass out rather quickly. You start to drown when you start breathing in water, which happens after you pass out. They made us watch Skipper, one of the penguins we've grown to know and love, slowly die. Or not, but still watch that scene with that in mind.

** "Kaboom and Kabust" was markedly un-subtle in creating a Rico/Julien pairing, with both parties being very touchy-feely toward the other. *** Mort squeezes himself in between their hug.
*** Rico glomps Julien when the other penguins try to take him away.
*** At the end of the episode, Julien and Maurice walk off arm-in-arm.
** Most shippers put this pairing down to Rico being psychotic, not too bright and in love with all the kaboom, and Julien just being crazy and BiTheWay.
