* FranchiseOriginalSin: At the time of its first release the reception of the review was overall pretty positive, with many applauding Doug for trying something that at the time was quite ambitious by the standards of a normal Nostalgia Critic episode, and even those who didn't personally consider it to be their cup of tea at least crediting him for trying to break with his usual formula. Since then, however, the episode's reputation has declined dramatically, thanks largely in part to Doug openly admitting that the episode convinced him to attempt to discontinue the Nostalgia Critic in favor of ''WebVideo/DemoReel'', as well as being the template for some of the most contentious future reviews such as ''Film/HocusPocus'' and ''Film/TheWall'', to the point where this has arguably displaced "Let's Play Bart's Nightmare" as the most ill-regarded episode of the Nostalgia Critic's original 2007-2012 run.
