** Thanks in part to being UnintentionallyUnsympathetic, as outlined below, Charlie's return to the team and being made Captain in ''D3'' has signs of this. What is meant to be the crowing heartwarming moment of the movie comes off as hollow, because Charlie comes off more as a KarmaHoudini who was overly antagonistic to his teammates and repeatedly defiant of his coach, only to get rewarded in the end for finally being belatedly apologetic.
