Granted, it's pretty easy to say that we weren't missing much by not playing them and experiencing for ourselves how these are...

** Ushrom's rather creepy mannerisms as well as 50% of his dialogue in his only appearance of the CDi games (as well as the entire Zelda franchise) being misinterpreted as something '''''much''''' worse has earned him this status as well.

* ReverseShazam: The game starring Link is actually titled ''Link: The Faces of Evil'' not ''The Legend of Zelda: The Faces of Evil''.

** The King is only really important to the storyline of ''Wand of Gamelon'', and not very much at that. He only ever shows up in the intros and endings of the games. However, he's one of the staples of YoutubePoop.

** Ganon is either a CompleteMonster, AffablyEvil, EvillyAffable or even an AntiVillain.

Not to mention there's the scene where he kidnaps a sleeping Zelda in ''The Faces Of Evil''...

* FridgeHorror: Why does the General Store guy act so suspicious? When you don't have enough rubies, he says, "You'll have to wipe out a few more Goriyas to get that." Considering that in ''Faces of Evil'' every Goriya WasOnceAMan, this may mean that the shopkeeper is aware of it and still encourages Zelda to kill the transformed citizens for their money.

** Gannon (yes, it's spelled with three Ns in this game) actually says "I will make '''you a''' face, the greatest in Koridai!", not "I will make your face the greatest in Koridai!" Each of the bosses (Gannon's minions) had a corresponding Face of Evil. Gannon is saying that if Link joins him, he'll make Link a Face of Evil too, and that Face of Evil will be the greatest Face of Evil in all of Koridai, NOT that he will make Link's actual face the greatest in Koridai. The bad voice acting doesn't help at all, but he is saying "you a", not "your".
* NightmareRetardant: Ironically, ''many'' of the bosses in the game fall victim to this. It's hard to be scared of the villains when all of them have {{Narm}}ful designs, [[LargeHam bombastic acting]] and just plain ''weird'' methods of terrorizing people.

* YourMileageMayVary: Believe it or not, the actual gameplay of the series [[http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/zeldacdi/zeldacdi.htm has its defenders]]. The linked review cheats in certain places; for example, the reviewer seems to be under the impression (or pretends for convenience) that one of the usual complaints is how Ganon can only be defeated by a specific item, rather than the fact that he goes down in a single blow. However, it also makes some good points -- apparently, those fireballs aren't so unbeatable if you [[VideoGame/HotelMario check out the enclosed instruction book.]]

* CriticalBacklash: Some even find ''Zelda's Adventure'' to not even be ''that bad'', given that it's received NothingButHates.
