* RonTheDeathEater: ''Videl''. Despite the fact that has certainly developed into the CreatorsPet, she started off as this. Her negative qualities were more or less amplified for the sake of telling the story, and as the author doesn't take many cues from the anime, any development she'd gained there was cut for the sake of taking the manga representation and running with it in a way that rubs Videl's surprisingly vocal fanbase wrong.

* AngstWhatAngst: Explicitly ''defied''. This is a story where the early parts could be summed up as "What if 7 years wasn't enough to mend the wounds left by Goku's passing?". At the end of the Cell Arc, the main cast fairly bereaved when Goku chose to stay dead, and in fact some of their life choices were based around Goku's death, but in canon, they're all over it by the time he shows back up, without any mention of it whatsoever. The early part of the story focuses on this ''immensely'', with Gohan still feeling guilty for his father's death, especially in the wake of being an older brother to a younger brother that never knew their father, and Chi-Chi, as rocky as their relationship was, loves and misses Goku.

Meaning if fans who haven't read up to this part of the ''Dragon Ball'' series attempt to pick up the fanfic, they will be very lost.
