* DesignatedVillain: Even though the conspiracy was limited to just six corrupt policemen and their leader's secretary, the film still has Alex kill ''every'' police officer that he encounters, without there being any indication at all that they were corrupt and not just doing their jobs by trying to stop someone who, from their point-of-view, was a maniac CopKiller who was wrecking a strip club, tearing up the streets in a hijacked Corvette, etc. This admittedly does get brought up, albeit rather offhandedly, during Captain Book's BreakingSpeech.

--> '''Captain Book:''' You come in here so full of righteous indignation, but what have you got to be so righteous about, huh? How many innocent people did you leave dead back there?\\
'''Alex:''' I had no choice! You sent them!\\
'''Captain Book:''' Bullshit. You're a killer, that's all you are. Just a clown with a bird and a rising death toll.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: The CGI has not aged well, especially when it comes to Alex's crow.
* {{Squick}}: Alex peeling off the mask that melted to his face during his botched execution after WakingUpAtTheMorgue.
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: Barely. While a lot of reviewers admitted that it was better than ''Film/TheCrowCityOfAngels'', they still found it to be a [[SoOkayItSAverage middling]] (at best) and unnecessary-feeling follow-up to the original 1994 film.
