* HilariousInHindsight: The film famously quotes the line "Abashed the Devil stood and felt how awful goodness is" from John Milton's ''Literature/ParadiseLost''. Director Alex Proyas is currently (As of 2012) working on a film adaption of the epic poem.

* SeinfeldIsUnfunny: The film has not aged well, especially in comparison to later superhero films like The Dark Knight and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

* {{Glurge}}: The flashbacks of Eric and Shelly's love are so overly romanticized it makes them more caricatures than characters.

* WhatAnIdiot: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crow_%281994_film%29#Death_of_Brandon_Lee Lee's tragic death]] was a result of a simply ''staggering'' array of horrible coincidences, any of which could and ''should'' have been averted. The crew attempting to ''make their own dummy bullets'' (by prying the bullets out of live magnum rounds, emptying the powder, then reinserting the bullets) because they didn't have time to acquire professionally-made ones was probably the most egregious, right next to sending their firearms specialist home ''before'' filming the scene where Eric is shot to death and delegating responsibility for the guns to a clueless prop assistant. They were probably lucky to escape a criminal negligence case!
