The creature's actions end up being food for thought for the remainder of Superman's life as he ponders why he performed his HeroicSacrifice. Did he actually know what he was doing? Did he inherit Superman's ideals and belief that all life was sacred? Or did he accurately predict Superman's coming regime and the sacrifice doubled as intentional suicide to prevent himself from ever witnessing a BadFuture from coming true? The nature of how Bizarro speaks also throws some wrinkles in. Were his last words ("Hello, everybody. Me very pleased to meet you.") ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin or, considering the opposite mindset Bizarro is usually hit with, a spiteful goodbye to the people who just begged Superman to kill him?

However, Superman despite surviving didn't try to take over the world again, and just lived quietly]]. In other words, Lex didn't really checkmate him, [[KnowWhenToFoldEm he just tipped his king piece over and chose to resign]]. [[/note]]
** UsefulNotes/JosephStalin and Superman getting along finely is rather funny, given that "Stalin" literally means "Man Of Steel"[[note]][[DontExplainTheJoke Superman's most well-known nickname]][[/note]].
** Luthor's ability [[spoiler: to avoid Brainiac's tendrils makes it likely that he planted Brainiac on Superman all of those years ago in order to further his plans]].
** Superman is oblivious to Pyotr being a traitor to his regime in spite of the latter openly despising him, or Diana clearly being in love with him. This is a hint that this version of Superman doesn't see human beings as people so much as he does as problems that need to be fixed. When Pyotr drunkenly hints that he poisoned Stalin, Superman is too busy solving problems and averting crises to really listen. [[spoiler: Lex figures out this flaw and uses it to achieve victory.]]
** One part of Superman mythos that this Superman lacks is that there is no Kryptonite in this story (as Luthor would have undoubtedly used it against him if it did).
