** In the ''Brand New World'' arc, which mostly centers around the Grand Line, everyone wants to claim the knowledge of the parallel dimensions. Considering it's set up after the Egghead arc, which reveals [[spoiler:the world is sinking into the sea slowly]], ''can anyone blame them''?

* HarsherInHindsight: Danisha Wood has a cameo and shames Rey for not submitting to Kylo willingly, telling her she is in the wrong for resisting him for so long. This leads to [[spoiler:Rey executing her brutally.]] This stopped being as cathartic after [[spoiler:Frollofreak, the author that made Danisha, died several months after.]]

** [[spoiler:Emil Kudos]] had gotten a potshot by borrowing some traits [[spoiler:Spandam]], but the author has been criticized about this... as being unfair to ''[[InsultToRocks the latter]]''.

** [=SkullFace=]'s sheer size was unequaled among real-life Ceratopsian specimens back when he first appeared, because at the time he was based on the largest specimen of ''Triceratops'' known as "[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_John_(dinosaur) Big John]]". Cue mid-2023, and he's got competition from the relative of ''Triceratops'' known as ''Torosaurus'', with specimen known as "[[https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/largest-dinosaur-skull-ever-discovered-going-on-display-a-torosaur-named-adam/ Adam]]" being cited as having '''the''' largest skull of any known dinosaur at the time of writing.

** Omera, a minor character in ''The Mandalorian'', which is a Star Wars story, is played by Julia Jones. The same actress is known for playing Leah Clearwater, who in this story is the partner of another Star Wars character.

* HilariousInHindsight: In ''Fanfic/FriendshipIsFailure'', Talon Ted sings about how he is a criminal mastermind surrounded by gangsters. In this version, [[spoiler:that's literally his true self, and the author had '''not''' read the lyrics of the song beforehand.]]

Palpatine—who wants to obtain the power of the imprints in order to strip everyone of their free will and make them obey him—was still able to [[MindRape twist and manipulate the minds]] of all four main characters, including almost completely corrupting his own granddaughter [[Characters/StarWarsRey Rey]] into doing vile acts acts such as sexual assault against Finn, solely driven by a sadistic sense of revenge against her for cutting ties with him during [[Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker their previous encounter]]. Palpatine leaves his own soldiers for dead during the final battle, and absorbs the life force of anyone he could in order to keep himself alive. As a last resort, should anyone else aside from him ultimately wind up in control of the galaxy, Palpatine would [[TakingYouWithMe destroy the galaxy altogether.]]

* CompleteMonster: [[Franchise/StarWars Emperor Sheev Palpatine]], even after having been presumed slain twice before, still continues his insane ambition even from beyond the grave. Crossing lines that even the other villains would be appalled at, and only "helping" whenever his own position of power was threatened by a stronger adversary. Palpatine, using [[Literature/{{Twilight}} the imprinting]], twisted and manipulated the minds of all four main characters, including almost completely corrupting his own granddaughter Rey into doing very despicable acts such as sexual assault against Finn, solely driven by a sadistic sense of revenge against her for cutting ties with him during [[Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker their last encounter.]] Palpatine's motivations of ruling the galaxy is so ambitious in his own scheme, that he will backstab and betray everyone and anything that attempts to do so for himself. With him leaving his own soldiers for dead during the final battle, and flat out absorbing the life-force of anyone who came into his path to keep himself alive above all others, Palpatine ultimately betrayed everyone who would even remotely side with him, earning himself a dishonorable medal of ZeroPercentApprovalRating from which every other individual regardless of their own morality wants nothing more than to smite the Sith Lord into oblivion for his several decades of his control and insane ambition for unlimited power. Finally, as a last resort should anyone else aside from him ultimately wind up in control of the galaxy due to overthrowing Palpatine in any way or form, Palpatine has every intention of destroying the galaxy altogether simply as one last parting gift to deny everyone the victory against him if given the chance.

* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler:Emperor Sheev Palpatine]], even as a hollow shell of himself, is responsible for atrocities way above the other villains. He has influenced, or at least tried to, all four main protagonists in a negative way, and even tried to corrupt [[spoiler:his own granddaughter into ''raping'' Finn as revenge for him cutting ties with her.]] He almost completely corrupts her in the end of the first season. Wanting to use the imprinting effect to gain a stronger hold on the minds of those around him, effectively robbing them of free will in the process, [[spoiler:Palpatine's motivations]] are his own desire for greater power with the intention of dethroning the Dark One and taking everything they have for himself. Most other villains look down on him for his cruelty, especially Grand Ruler Celesto, who, while he is a [[WhiteMansBurden white savior]] who cares about his public image and expanding his empire by saving those in need, has nothing but contempt for [[spoiler:the Emperor, who crosses every single line Celesto is unwilling to cross, including making the threats he repels himself and conquering through violence]]. He also is willing to make people [[spoiler:imprint on himself, which is a line the current Dark One will never cross]]. Most cruel villains are above sexual assault, but he is not. His plan to destroy every single planet in the Galaxy makes at least two characters help Stormwolf to take him down, including [[TokenEvilTeammate Prokop who did not defect when ordered to shoot civilians]], but drew the line at this madness, and [[TheRival Lightning Dawn]], who has a rivalry with Finn but is willing to push it aside for those who blow up planets, as he had lost his. While he has fanatics like [[spoiler:Kor, he disillusions him by discarding him like trash for losing to Finn. He also helped against the Yuuzhan Vong and the Black Legion, but only [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist to ensure he will be the one to rule the Galaxy]], and if he doesn't he will destroy it. In his final fight with the Black Legion, only the very heinous Pryde had a choice in joining him, the Knights of Ren were in the dark and the Snokes were created to obey him. He still abandoned his few forces to die to the guards of Cocytus so he can murder a supposedly sick Dark One. Finally, as he started losing, [[HatedByAll to the delight of everyone]], he drained bystanders who just happened to be there so he can become stronger. While they were damned, he didn't care at all about it.]]

* HateSink:
** [[spoiler:Emperor Palpatine.]] He is a tyrant, who, while dead, still tries to influence the protagonists in all the wrong ways, and tries to corrupt all four lead characters. In the end, due to betraying everyone, [[spoiler:almost nobody supports his campaign and his final defeat was met with rejoicing both in-universe and out.]]
** Stone Heart. He is a thin-skinned author who tormented his critics with nightmares, even driving a person to suicide. When confronted by Virago, he forces her to live her greatest fears. However, he is not so competent in a proper fight and [[DirtyCoward folds quickly.]]
** [[SmallNameBigEgo Takara]] is an abuser who knowingly sends her subordinates to get hurt, rewrites history to get status and wealth, and despite believing she is something great and beating up whoever disrespects her, she is the weakest ArcVillain and a coward nobody likes.
** [[DiscOneFinalBoss Al Astor]] is a piece of work. He is a propagandist, brute and rape apologist, who constantly demonizes the protagonists and sends monsters and assassins after them. He can also be very slimy, as he is cruel to subordinates and enemies, but servile to his masters.
