They said “fifth Steven”.

** At one point, "Handsome" Steven tells Steven 2, 3 and 4 to "take five", prompting the Stevens to shout "There's a fifth season?!". At the time [[ComicallyMissingThePoint it was just a quick joke about them misunderstanding what "Handsome" Steven said]], but it would later turn out that the show would actually last for exactly 5 seasons (plus [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverseTheMovie a movie]] and [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverseFuture an epilogue series]]).

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The fact that time travel technology exists in this setting (and that the main characters have access to it) yet nothing plot-relevant ever comes out of it leaves many fans frustrated to no end. De Mayo is actually a Sephardic Jewish surname.

* HilariousInHindsight: Steven's last clone gives him a friendly "Arrivederci!" before disappearing. In "Gem Harvest," we learn that Greg's original last name is the Italian-sounding [=DeMayo=], implying that Steven is of Italian ancestry.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Greg legally changed his name, so Steven was never called "De Mayo".
