* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Does the Red Queen really believe in the reconstruction of Earth or is she just using it as an excuse to stay in power?
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Several [=OST=] of the game is courtesy of Music/SteamPoweredGiraffe. It's also great to see that they even appear in the game as Steambot versions of themselves.
** Brass Goggles, one of the bands more iconic tunes appears in the game.
** No More Queen, the song that plays after defeating the Red Queen as you and your crew make it to the extraction point.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: Keeping the artstyle of the VideoGame/SteamWorldDig, Heist also manages to expand the proportions of the characters and thus, make them more detailed.
* EvilIsCool:
** The Scrappers, the Royalist and the Vectron Hive are all a group of assorted nasties who are terrorizing the entire system. But they all have such a design and a theme to their factions so good that you sometimes forget they are still baddies.
** The Red Queen is the leader of the Royal Space Force and the tyrannical ruler of the system. Yet, she is still an awesome boss that manages to test the players who have come to her.
