** The offscreen DroppedABridgeOnHim fates of established characters Lusa, Lyric, and Eelysa in ''Literature/NewJediOrder'' book ''Star by Star'' have led to some hope that ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated.

Cutting this out, since while I think it refers to just "Legends" as its own franchise it also sounds weird to say in the age of widespread backlash against the prequels and sequels that this was the most hated part of the franchise

* AudienceAlienatingEra: Likely the most unanimously agreed-upon age for the ''Star Wars'' franchise is the period where Troy Denning was head writer for the novels, spanning nearly nine years from July 2005 to April 2014. Denning's work (given its own FanNickname, the "Denningverse") was noted for being far DarkerAndEdgier than most other stories in TheVerse, with a level of gratuitous sex and violence unusual for the franchise, most infamously a scene in ''Literature/LegacyOfTheForce'' where a grown woman sexually tortures a teenage boy for information. Denning and his contemporaries also built up a bad habit of using characters created by other writers for their own books as CListFodder. When it was announced in 2014 that the franchise would have a ContinuityReboot, the response from Denning's considerable hatedom was a resounding "Meh."

* MoralEventHorizon:
** Chantique mocking Zayne after Snout's death. And her manipulation.
** The Mon Calamari massacre to Darth Krayt.
** Raana manipulating Shel into trying to kill Zayne. After that pretty much any sympathy the audience had went out the window.
** ''Ascension'' contains a rare example of a character crossing their ''own'' MoralEventHorizon. After several books of {{UST}}, Vestara Khai finally starts a relationship with Ben Skywalker and expresses interest in turning to the Light Side. Later in the book, she, Ben, and a MauveShirt are sent on a mission, during which an alien predator goes after Ben. Vestara saves him by feeding the MauveShirt to the monster. This causes her to label ''herself'' as irredeemable.

Unverifiable lol

* VocalMinority: Of the millions of people who have seen the movies, only a few thousand have consumed ''Legends'' material, but from the attitude of the fans it seemed that it was much bigger than it really was. This got to the point that when it was announced that most of the pre-2014 Expanded Universe was no longer canon, the reaction was not as great as many might believe.
