* DemonicSpiders: [[BossInMookClothing AT-STs]] will be the bane of your existence in this game. Unless you get access to heavy firepower, any fight you have with them turns into a tense game of cat and mouse--they are [[DamageSpongeBoss extremely resilient]], and they can mop the floor with you in seconds if you let your guard down.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The game has a truly splendid soundtrack that combines some memorable music from the first three films with some original music of its own.

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfLUX3ZHqkY The Tension Loop]] that plays at the end of every match really captures the frantic, intense moments you experience during those precious few seconds you have before time runs out. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAivvK7zGwk The Sabotage Theme]] is just as good with its use of rapid strings along side loud, explosive brass.
** If [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyOPdU1642o the Rebels' Victory Theme]] doesn't make you shout "FOR THE REBELLION!!!", nothing will!
** Heck, even [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvUVYRqAvRI the Imperial Victory Theme]] is awesome to listen to with its dark, intimidating tone befitting the Empire.

** The decision to stop updating Skirmish mode (The ability to play Walker Assault and Fire Squadron with bots offline) to focus on other games has angered some of the fanbase that like playing against bots as only the vanilla maps are compatible.

* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: Nien Nunb and Greedo have been announced as the first DLC Hero and Villain, which doesn't sit well with fans when they're just light PaletteSwap's of the Sullustan and Rodian models you already get to choose in Multiplayer. Fans were not pleased by how cheap EA appeared for reusing old models for their first expansion pack as opposed to new character models.

** In response to the negative reception of DLC heroes Nien Nunb and Greedo (who look like lazy PaletteSwap's of existing character models), DICE released the Bespin DLC with fan-favorite heroes Lando and Dengar. Many fans were happy with this decision since they would at least play as beloved characters who at least look different than the existing ones playable in multiplayer.

** A lot of people were concerned that DICE would make the reboot exclusively first-person, effectively making the game ''Battlefield [[RecycledInSpace In Space]]''. However, the gameplay footage revealed at E3 2014 confirmed that third-person gameplay is the default, easing these concerns. However, post-launch, quite a few players conceded that ''Battlefield In Space'' would have been the preferable option due to the lack of depth and content within the game compared to the ''Battlefield'' games.

** Backlash against EA's involvement just got stronger when fans saw IGN's official review upon release. While IGN wasn't shy about criticizing the game, they gave it [[EightPointEight 8 stars out of 10]], and somehow avoided mentioning any of the removed content that upset so many fans (see InternetBackdraft below), essentially judging the game on its own without comparing it to previous ''Battlefront'' entries. Some say that EA earned their 8 stars with masterful graphics and fun gameplay, and that the game should be judged on its own merits. Others suspect that EA pressured IGN for a good review, and argue that the company had no excuse for cutting so much well-received content from previous games when they had such a high budget and charged players $60 per copy.

** Fans were excited for a new entry in the series.... until details were revealed. The removal of Space Battles upset a ''lot'' of fans, as did the announcement that the Clone Wars era, Galactic Conquest, and Instant Action would not appear at all. As well as the announcement that the AT-AT is on rails, and not pilot-able, along with battles being reduced to 24 person teams and the game only featuring four planets across its maps at launch. So it was half-WinTheCrowd half-Upset the Fans with Battlefront III. [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment And we'll leave it at that]].

*** His [[FlashStep Force]] [[InASingleBound Dash]] in general. You're a Rebel, and suddenly you come across this EvilOldFolks EvilSorcerer who seems to enjoy invoking ShockAndAwe? Daunting, yes, [[TemptingFate but as long as you keep your distance, he still shouldn't be too much troubl]]-- [[JumpScare OH, MY GOD, NOW HE'S RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!]]

* ScapegoatCreator: As a result of the HypeBacklash, many fans have been pointing fingers at EA (the publisher of the game) and Disney (the rights holder of Star Wars brand). The former was accused watering down Battlefront and including a much-hated season pass as a means to sell as many units and milk as much money from fans. The latter was accused of [[ExecutiveMeddling placing creative restrictions]] for the sake of canonicity and [[ChristmasRushed rushing out the game]] to promote ''Film/TheForceAwakens''. Given how much of the production was not known, it may be possible that parties may have been MisBlamed for whatever faults. [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment As such, any accusations should be met with caution]].

* VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The only thing people can agree on about the game is that the graphics are gorgeous.
* WhatTheHellCastingAgency:
** Anthony Hansen's Luke Skywalker performance is a constant source of mockery. Fans and gamers share the opinion that [=DICE=] should have brought Creator/MarkHamill or BobBergen back.

** Palpatine/Sidious's HellIsThatNoise scream during his Force Dash. Sounds a helluva lot like the one that he made when charging at Windu and the other masters in ''Film/RevengeOfTheSith''.

* TheScrappy: Not counting their merits in actual gameplay, Nien Nunb and Greedo were negatively when they were announced to be joining the game, the former in particular when many were expecting Chewie.

** Some fans lament the absence of several characters as potential Heroes and Villains, including IG-88, Tarkin, Ben, Yoda, Admiral Ackbar, and Doctor Aphra.

** Han Solo is also a devastating heroes with his Rapid Fire that insta kills infantry and his lock-on Lucky Shot that can destroy starships as well.

*** Hero Hunt involves a number of players having to hunt down one player who takes the role of a hero, with the winner being whoever can score the most kills as the hero. Except when the hero dies, the next hero is chosen based solely on who landed the killing blow, turning the whole mode in a LuckBasedMission.
*** Heroes vs. Villains pits two teams of six against each other, except with only three heroes on each side, that leaves six players stuck playing mooks whose only job is to die repeatedly while chipping away at the heroes' considerable health.

** Darth Vader's very short cool down attacks, long block time and ridiculous amount of health make him unstoppable in put in the right hands

* HarsherInHindsight: Chewie was not included in the original game and was saved for the Death Star DLC, which didn't release until about a year after the game's release, leaving many sad that Han was without his best friend. Then comes ''Film/TheForceAwakens'', released the same month, where [[spoiler: the inseparable duo has been shattered after Han's death, and now poor Chewie is without his best friend]].

* TierInducedScrappy: Lando Calrissian has evolved from being derided for having a completely underpowered, inaccurate gun to being absolutely hated for having access to a glitch that allows him to kill any enemy in one or two shots from across the map, making him basically unbeatable in the hands of a competent player. Lando-players using this glitch will often have teammates jump in front of them to block Lando's shots.

** Many fans have complained about the game's almost slavish dedication to the Original Trilogy, wishing for Prequel content or at least ''[[WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels Rebels]]'' content. EA announced in summer 2016 that the final DLC pack would be based on ''Film/RogueOne'', which while still technically OT since it takes place weeks prior to ''A New Hope'', was still regarded as a good call and break from the OT focused content of the rest of the game before it.

* TierBasedScrappy: Lando Calrissian has evolved from being derided for having a completely underpowered, inaccurate gun to being absolutely hated for having access to a glitch that allows him to kill any enemy in one or two shots from across the map, making him basically unbeatable in the hands of a competent player. * ContinuityNod: The moon visible in Sullust's sky is most likely Sulon, which in Legends continuity was the birthplace of [[VideoGame/DarkForcesSaga Kyle Katarn]].

* GrowingTheBeard: The January 2016 patch fixed numerous issues with the game (such as the Cycler Rifle's bullet drop and the DL-44's firing rate), which helped improved the game's image for some people. The subsequent patches and DLC that arrived following months included things like a Bespin map, at least two new maps for Endor and Tattooine respectively, a Death Star pack, and a ''Rogue One'' pack. It's not hard to guess how excited people are for those.
