* AuthorsSavingThrow: A major criticism of Season One was that Picard hadn't involved Geordi in the hunt for Maddox or honoring Data's final request to terminate his digital consciousnesses. It wasn't just that Geordi was ''the'' Soong expert outside of the Daystrom Institute and that his experiences and skills would've been invaluable. It was also that while Picard may have helped mentor Data, Geordi ''was'' also Data's best friend and had just as much of a right to be there and say the final goodbye. This has finally been addressed with Geordi's return this Season, as the Engineer comes to term with his own grief over losing best friend during ''Nemesis'' -- and his determination to not lose him to this second chance or to Lore's malice.
