* UnfortunateImplications:
** In yet another example of the franchise's HideYourGays mentality prior to ''Film/StarTrekBeyond'' and ''Series/StarTrekDiscovery'', every single one of the men aboard ''Enterprise'' instantly starts lusting after the Orion women (barring only Trip, whose immunity has nothing to do with his sexual preferences), while not one of the women is even remotely interested. (Note that one among the main cast, Hoshi, was [[Recap/StarTrekEnterpriseS03E04Rajiin previously]] strongly indicated to be bisexual, yet all she gets from pheromone exposure is a bad headache.) Needless to say, [[https://www.trektoday.com/reviews/enterprise/bound.shtml fans were quick to call this out]], as well as the episode having the Orion women parading around in outfits that take the TheissTitillationTheory to ludicrous extremes.
** Website/SFDebris [[https://sfdebris.com/videos/startrek/e193.php points out]] the fundamental premise is pretty insulting to both genders if you stop to think about it. The episode seems to be saying that women can't accomplish anything unless they [[IHaveBoobsYouMustObey use their enormous sexiness to beguile men into doing it for them]], and men [[DistractedByTheSexy can't engage their brains while possessing an erection]]. The whole idea is like a reversion to a previous decade.

* FridgeBrilliance: If the Orion women's pheromones are supposed to adversely affect other women to eliminate competition, why don't they give each other headaches? The Orion "captain" mentions at one point early on that all three women are sisters, so presumably close relatives are immune.

Considering the implications of how the Orion women's pheromones affect men and women, this applies. I don't understand the reasoning behind the deletion of this entry.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: While Kelby's accusations that Tucker intends to steal his position are meant to paint him as a petty and belligerent {{Jerkass}}, which is exacerbated by the effects of the Orion women, we find out at the end of the episode that Kelby's accusations were exactly right, and Tucker had in fact asked for his old job back before the episode even started.

It's a hormone response, not a sexual response.
