* FridgeLogic: Why didn't Bashir think about asking one of Deep Space Nine's many Vulcan crewmembers (judging by "Field of Fire") to mind-meld with the unconscious Sloan?
** Considering the complexity of Sloan's mind and the doubtless complicated nature of the cure, Bashir may have felt it best to cut out the middle-man and search for the information himself rather than rely on a Vulcan who may not have the necessary scientific expertise.
