** After determining that a stray cat is too badly hurt for him to save, Mikkel puts it down via lethal injection. Given that they didn't bring any animals with them (Sigrun and Emil found the cat entirely by coincidence), there's no logical reason for him to have those supplies... unless they were intended for use ''on the crew''. They're out in the middle of a DeathWorld, with only a poorly-supplied field medic and weeks away from the nearest hospital; if one of them sustains an injury that Mikkel can't treat, that needle will probably look pretty attractive compared to the alternative of slowly dying in agony.

Considering that she was ''not'' happy about being ordered to babysit the clueless civilian who showed up in what was supposed to be one of their food crates, to the point where she was threatening to use him as a ''decoy'', this shows just how far she'll go to protect the people on her team.

* FridgeHorror: Emil's uncle and aunt? Have basically smarmed him into going on what most right-minded Scandinavians would consider a suicide mission, while getting distant, back-country cousins on board, too. If his parents (if still alive) know, it makes that ''worse'', somehow. How many others on the board are throwing their "disappointments" at this to see if they'll sink either quickly or, with luck, just slowly?

** Emil's protectiveness of Lalli overall, in spite of the fact that Lalli has by far the more practical experience of the two. If confronted with even a mid-sized troll or beast when he's by himself, LovableCoward Emil's default reaction seems to be to randomly flail whatever weapon he's holding while running away and screaming for Sigrun to save him. * LightmareFuel: Is there any other way of describing it? Even the most hilarious scenes can have a threat or two skulking quietly undercover if you pause to think. We know for certain the gorgeous scenery ''definitely'' has oodles of horror just ''waiting'' to pounce, even while we're up to our eyeballs in cute kitties and wonderful character interplay, too. Yup: if this work doesn't count, nothing does.
