* BaseBreakingCharacter: Tammi is this. While she was initially introduced as a pleasant and compotent character who was sweet to Rusty, she would later suck the fun out of the series in any future appearances, with her enforced morals and demands for child support payment, while reminding everyone of how much it sucks to be a deadbeat dad.

* MisaimedFandom: The series has many fans among conservative southerners, the very people whose lifestyles and beliefs are scathingly mocked.

** And good luck guessing WHICH of the many evil acts Dan Halen has commited count as him crossing the MEH. It might as well be ALL OF THEM!

While she was initially introduced as a pleasant and compotent character who was sweet to Rusty, she would later suck the fun out of the series in any future appearances, with her enforced morals and demands for child support payment, while reminding everyone of how much it sucks to be a deadbeat dad. However, it clearly sucks much more to be a single mother, and all of her anger against Rusty, who spends most of his time goofing around as he's always done while she's working a demeaning job and being the sole caregiver for their child, is entirely justified...at least at first. More recent episodes have shown Rusty genuinely trying to help raise his son (spending quality time with him, getting a job and giving all the money to her and Randy, etc.), and she still acts like he does nothing. In fact, she seems to have become downright ''abusive'' in at least one case, forcing Randy to go through with an unnecessary [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything species reassignment surgery]] (basically just chopping off all of his tentacles), not because Randy wants it, but because they are an inconvenience for her. In fact, she says that the only opinion which matters in this case is hers, and neither Rusty (the boy's father) or Randy (the one about to be put under the knife) should have any say. Thats right, the boy ''whose life is about to be drastically altered'' has no say because he's too young to think for himself. If thats true, then why doesn't she wait until he's old enough to make an informed decision? Simple, she doesn't want him to make the decision, because he'll probably make the ''wrong'' one.
