Flanderization is on the main page, I am not a smart person. Fixed!

* {{Flanderization}}: Jess starts out as a well-meaning, if strict, GranolaGirl who is thrifty but willing to indulge others when it comes to their spending habits, but steadily becomes 'greener' and more militant as the books go on. As of ''Shopaholic Christmas'', she is an avid vegan who obsesses about consumerism, finds almost everything “problematic” and even looks down on ''recycling'' because it's still not good enough for her.

I'm not sure why Flanderization was removed as it's a perfectly valid example, but please let me know if it goes against any rules

* BrokenBase: Opinions about ''Shopaholic to the Stars'' and ''Shopaholic to the Rescue'' are very divided. Some fans enjoyed the more exciting mystery based storyline, and Becky's focus on something other than shopping, while others disliked the unrealistic storyline and the focus on newly introduced characters outside of Becky and her friends. **''Shopaholic to the Stars'' was especially disliked as it ended on a poorly written cliffhanger.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: It’s pretty easy to theorize that Becky has an addictive personality which she channels through shopping.

* ProtagonistCenteredMorality: Becky routinely lies her way out of being a responsible adult without facing barely any serious consequences (and the few times she does, everything ends up okay with her seemingly having [[ForgottenAesop forgotten her lesson]]).

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: It's really hard to root for Becky when she repeatedly lies and refuses to take responsibility for her addiction in every single book.

* StoicWoobie: Luke. Abandoned by his birth mother Elinor when he was just a baby, he grows up wanting nothing more than to meet her. His father tries to get Elinor to see him, Elinor's new husband even tries to get her to see Luke, but she refuses and even flat out ignores a fourteen year old Luke when he tries to visit her in New York. Luke is clearly very affected by it, and works so hard just to try and impress her, and finally earn her love. Elinor then uses him for his company, which is the thing that finally shatters Luke's view of her. They later make up, but things are decidedly strained.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: Every scene with Eleanor in Mini Shopaholic, from her quietly asking Becky if she could see her grandchild to her participation and financial support in the surprise party, in the hopes of giving him the sort of unconditional gift she had never given him before.
-->Becky: Look, I know you've had your difficulties, you two. But this is the perfect time to mend them. At his party! And when he knows you were behind all this...he'll love you! He'll have to love you!
-->Elinor: That's precisely why I cannot go down. I did not fund this party in order to win Luke's love in some ostentatious way. I will not go down. I will not have him knowing that I was any part of tonight. You will never tell him. Never, do you hear me, Rebecca? There are no conditions attached to tonight. I have done this for Luke. I have done this for Luke. If I went down, if I were to make myself known as the benefactor, I would have done it for myself. As you said so clearly, an unconditional act does not require a reward.

Becky, on the other hand, only loathes her because she's meticulous about her own finances.
