* IdiotPlot: Where to start? The Sheriff decides, seemingly out of nowhere, to leave his position and travel to the Holy Land in order to assassinate King Richard, with no thought given to who's going to be in charge while he's away, or how to circumvent Prince John's orders to raze Nottingham to the ground if Sir Jasper doesn't collect his seal. On realizing that something strange is happening, Marian realizes that the Sheriff is going to assassinate the king, and so decides to kill the Sheriff ''first'' -- even though she has no backup, is leaping to conclusions, faces the death penalty if she's caught, knows that Prince John will destroy Nottingham if anything happens to the Sheriff, and has plenty of time to plan and prepare while the Sheriff is getting ready for travel. Then she's immediately caught while sneaking up on him, after which the Sheriff decides to ''take her with him'' to the Holy Land instead of having her executed immediately, giving her plenty more time to plot against him.
