* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: No one at Norrisville High understands Jacques's work.

** In the first episode, Viceroy says that the Ninja's suit could be navy blue. Years later, Ben Schwartz would be type-casted as [[WesternAnimation/Ducktales2017 blue-]][[WesternAnimation/RiseOfTheTeenageMutantNinjaTurtles colored]] [[Film/SonicTheHedgehog characters]].

* ValuesResonance: Many Julian fans note that he's not a stereotypical {{Goth}}; aside from being a PerkyGoth, he's overall very nice, plays an important role in later episodes, and when stanked, the Sorcerer typically feeds off of his ''fear'', which breaks ''two'' stereotypes (the first being that a goth would typically be characterized by sadness or anger, the second being that goths aren't usually scared of much). Now, this has been done before with works like ''WesternAnimation/RubyGloom'' and the many works of Creator/TimBurton... but Julian is just casually slipped into a non-gothic series, and aside from comments about him being [[CloudCuckoolander weird]], he's never portrayed as "bad" for being a goth.

* SpiritualAdaptation:
** To some fans, this series is a sequel of ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom''.
** As well as ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDragonJakeLong''.
** ''WesternAnimation/KickButtowski'' too.

* GrowingTheBeard: While Season One was good, Season Two became DarkerAndEdgier with StoryArc, less ToiletHumor improved animation and more focus on CharacterDevelopment.

* EvilIsSexy:
** The Sorceress in her human form as Amanda Levay.
** To some fans, Evil Julian.

* AngstWhatAngst: "Aplopalypse Now" reveals that Plop Plop, the loyal friend and esquire of the First Ninja, was forced to become the guardian of one of the Sorcerer's balls for 800 years against his will. (By his best friend, no less) Despite that, when he meets Randy and Howard, he shows no signs of being remotely affected by this, and at the end of the episode [[spoiler: When Randy uses the Nomicon in order to destank him, Plop Plop is overjoyed to be reunited with the First Ninja again. ]]

*** On that note, in one episode, Randy and Howard sneaknout of the latter's house to see s movie based on their favorite videogame. And one of the blue-related roles Ben Schwartz voiced years later? Sonic the Hedgehog.
*** And when the Viceroy's highly sdvanced projector fails (thanks to Randy and Howard sneaking in to see the movie), the film's main character cones to life and starts attacking the viewers, but Randy and Howard mistake this as part of the movie and the former claims its better than the game. While the ''Sonic'' movie isn't considered the best entry in the franchise, it did earned a lot more love from the fandom than most recent ''Sonic'' games[[note]]except for ''VideoGame/SonicMania''.[[/note]].

* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: The series has good animation overall.
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Howard. He's either a funny character, or an insufferable {{Jerkass}} with SkewedPriorities. Not helping with this is part of the fandom's tendency to excuse his worse moments as "just part of his character" while leaping on Randy for the slightest jerkish inclination (though this has lessened recently).
* CargoShip: Randy and the Ninjanomicon. Like with most cargo ships, [[http://zamii070.tumblr.com/post/56345455692/i-humanized-a-book the fandom has created]] a MoeAnthropomorphism of the object half.
* CrossoverShip: Randy is shipppd with characters from different animated shows. These include but aren't limited to: [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Mabel Pines]], [[WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil Star Butterfly]], [[WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom Danny Phantom]], WesternAnimation/SheZow, [[WesternAnimation/SuperRobotMonkeyTeamHyperForceGo Chiro]].

* LGBTFanbase: There's a decent amount of LGBT fans, mainly thanks to Viceroy, whom is a well-loved villain for being an effeminete, sassy, fabulous DeadpanSnarker and EvilGenius, and the HoYay situations between Randy and Howard.
