A single hotel room in NYC costs roughly $1,400 per week, and the other cities are unlikely to be much cheaper, so their budget would be used up before they got more than three rooms. (Consider that the group consists of eight named characters, an unspecified number of other students, and four chaperones, and you'll see you need a lot more space...) And that's not taking travel, food, and other expenses into account.

** While the Club members do work hard, they also get thousands and thousands of dollars from their celebrity friends, so it can come across like their great victory (by having a better trip than the class) isn't fully earned.

Given the latter's prominence as the supporting protagonist, you'd expect Sabrina to back her up, and likely be prompted to side with Marinette as well. It's possible she's one of the "bunch of other students" joining the club.

** The part where the Club runs into a fight between Flash and the Rogues and proceed to immediately befriend both sides can come across as this. While the Rogues do maintain a no-killing code (at least in some continuities), they're still villains and criminals who cause all sorts of problems, so the Club being excited to take photos with them can be off-putting.

** Marinette becoming Ladybug and raffling off a meeting with her can also come across as unseemly, since she's commercializing her status as a hero, and also dangerous, since Hawkmoth might start looking into why Ladybug seems to have a connection to the Club.
