** Remember how one of the people who believed in the apocalyptic rumors randomly exploded into a Shadow upon seeing Nyx's true form? Well, that's still here, with additions of it happening to ''even more'' people and those shadows ''consuming'' anyone nearby -- and it's not limited to just people outwardly welcoming the arrival of Nyx either. The second person to become a Shadow is a relatively normal looking woman, who consumes the man next to her.

** Akihiko is an odd example of a party member being considered a letdown, due to how Characteristic and Theurgy are phrased. They are worded as though his stat buffs like Tarukaja and his Theurgy are only affected if he himself casts the buffs, when in reality they are impacted by anyone casting them. This combined with numerous other factors (namely, the loss of almost all of the debuff spells that made him so good in original versions of ''Persona 3'' and his JackOfAllTrades skill set leading him to have rather weak attacks throughout most of the midgame) led to Akihiko being widely disliked by players who were not made aware of how exactly his Buff Amp and Theurgy work.

** Akihiko is an odd example of a party member being considered a letdown, as a large part of why he is so disliked by players is due to how Buff Boost/Amp Characteristic and Theurgy are phrased. This combined with numerous other factors (namely, the loss of almost all of the debuff spells that made him so good in original versions of ''Persona 3'' and his JackOfAllTrades skill set leading him to have rather laughably weak first-tier attacks throughout most of the midgame) led to Akihiko being widely disliked by many players who were not made aware of how exactly his Buff Amp and his Theurgy work.work to consider him strictly ''worse'' than in earlier releases of the game.

* LowTierLetdown: In contrast to the original game, Mitsuru is seen as a bit of a letdown on the higher difficulties. While most other party members were buffed, she lost Ice Amp and her healing skills, trading them for an increased repertoire of ailments which are ineffective against most bosses (which doubly hurts as her Theurgy gauge relies on them), leaving Rakunda as her only utility. On its own this might not be so bad, but ''Reload'' added many new tools to buff physical attackers (Auto-Rebellion equipment, Bloody Charge) and all physical specialists in the party got huge buffs from their Characteristics (Junpei's [[CriticalHitClass Critical Amp]], Aigis' [[BoringButPractical Phys Amp]], Akihiko's Buff Boost) or in other ways (Koromaru naturally learns the boss-killing Getsu-Ei and the party crit-boosting Revolution). And as most bosses have no weaknesses, magic damage has a hard time keeping pace with CriticalHit setups. In fact, Mitsuru's own Characteristic (Boosting crit rate vs enemies with ailments) makes these setups even better without doing much to improve her own damage. The other magic users have ways to remain useful (Yukari's cheap healing, Ken's utility skills and Akihiko's [[JackOfAllTrades buffs, debuffs and physical options]]) while Mitsuru's are limited and she has [[SquishyWizard the worst durability in the party]], which is only exaggerated with Merciless' higher damage output. While she does get Diamond Dust, it's her ''last'' skill, and her damage output falls behind in the midgame until she gets Concentrate at Lv 55.

Thankfully though, the Fallen Noble Armor (which has a built-in Unshaken Will), Soul of Athena (Aigis' best Armor, which can block all ailments), and Null (Element) accessories are already unlocked at this point, turning this infuriating boss fight into a fair one.

** The Natural Dancer Monad Passage miniboss will spam a buffed Spirit Drain on your party, and comes in a group of 3. ** The Answer being paid DLC was met with backlash from fans -- Many were displeased that they had to pay extra for content that was originally free in the FES version, and that The Answer was not included as part of the Premium purchase. Negative reviews on Steam reinforce that fans were keen on the content in The Answer but not what they needed to pay for it.

** Tartarus rescue missions were brought in from ''Portable''. And while Elizabeth will warn the player when people wander in, this tends to happen very close to a Full Moon, and occasionally happens multiple times within a lunar cycle. In practice, this encourages putting off going to Tartarus until as late as possible, as that allows you to knock out all recues at once for maximum efficiency. Conversely, players who go to Tartarus early are essentially punished: forced to go back later in the month if they want to avoid the PlayerPunch of [=NPCs=] dying.
