* FriendlyFandoms: FallOutBoy and Panic! fans often overlap. This isn't surprising considering their similar music styles, shared origins and penchant for [[LongTitle Long Titles]].They overlap a lot with the Music/MyChemicalRomance fanbase, too. This is probably due to the witty and intelligent rebellion lyrics. It's more like, which one did you become a fan of first.

** "This is Gospel" is widely considered to be one of their best for a reason. It's hard not to belt "If you love me, let me GOOOOOO!" right along with Brendon every time.

* LoveItOrHateIt: Particularly when the band came to proeminence, amidst other similar groups: ''Spin'' readers chose Panic! at the Disco as [[https://books.google.com.br/books?id=sye-0uaVa2cC&pg=PA66#v=onepage&q&f=false the best ''and'' worst band of 2006.]]

* SignatureSong: "I Write Sins Not Tragedies', to the extent that performances often involve [[AudienceParticipation Brendon and/or Dallon pointing the mic at the audience as they sing a majority of the song]]

** The lyric "but I make these high heels work" in "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time" became this when Brendon starred in the musical version of Film/Kinky Boots.

* AuthorAppeal:
** Fans have joked about the "goddamn doors" being one for the band, as they have been mentioned in both "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" and "Miss Jackson" with similar phrasing.
** Sexual references also come up pretty often (especially in songs written by Brendon).

* ChivalrousPervert: This is a big part of Brendon's stage persona (and a good part of his personality in RealLife) He's known for rampant [[DoubleEntendre Double Entendres]] onstage, pretending to [[FauxYay perform lewd acts on his fellow band members]], posted a Vine where he (jokingly) asked girls to send him pictures of their boobs, has admitted to being a not so EthicalSlut in the past and overall being a LovableSexManiac. He is now HappilyMarried, has written several songs about his wife (including the CrowningMomentOfHeartWarming "The End of All Things) and they are quite cute together.

* MondeGreen: "With a sense of Poise and Rationality" from "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies" is often heard as "With a sense of ''poisoned rationality!''"

* NightmareFuel: The videos for "Miss Jackson" and "This is Gospel"

* TheScrappy: Ryan, to those who hated Pretty. Odd. after it became obvious exactly whose "fault" it was.

* StartOfDarkness: Whether you buy into the Ryan Ross hatedom or not, it's clear that the content of ''Pretty. Odd.'' is a precursor to his leaving the band with Jon Walker and creating The Young Veins, whose music that sounds very much like ''Pretty. Odd.''.
** It's blatantly obvious in hindsight if you look at both of their next albums after the split. Fever was Brendon's creation, Odd was Ryan's.

** What some fans thought when ''Pretty.Odd.'' came out.

* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: The band got a lot of heat for their blatant similarities to FallOutBoy. The fact that they were huge fans before they were even a band and got signed by Pete Wentz is a good explanation of this.
