** In "Abel's Story", after Chris runs away from a merchant after taking some of his produce that he refused to sell individually, the merchant threatens to eat Chris after cornering him. Had Abel not been there to rescue him, he quite literally would've been eaten alive.

** "One of a Kind" opens with a vision Snowball has of another vampire who requests for him to join his brethren. The darkly lit scene with the vampire bathed in light, along the vampire saying "There is not much time.", makes for an ominous scene.

* TearJerker:
** In "Baking Bran (PART 1)", after [[spoiler:Chris and Ian give Michael a batch of blueberry bran muffins that unbeknownst to them are cursed with a Heisen Hex, Michael is put into a food coma. When Chris and Ian meet him at the hospital, he's mad at them because he believes they were trying to hurt him when in reality, they were just trying to help him feel better after Clair left him. He even goes as far as to say they're not his friends, which leaves them shocked]].
*** This is made worse by the fact that [[spoiler:Chris and Ian don't interact with Michael in Season 5 after this episode, showing that he may or may not need some time to truly forgive them for what they've done]].
** Where to begin with "The Lost Undead"? It all starts with [[spoiler:Snowball arriving at the Burton Night Club wondering where his friend Rob is, only for the bartender to tell him that Rob is dead. Snowball comes home early and questions his existence to Chris and Ian before telling them what happened and breaking into tears. After Chris and Ian learn Rob's owner's address from Death, Snowball asks to see what remains of Rob, but the remains have already been taken care of and he receives his jacket instead. On the car ride home, Snowball realizes how much he misses his friend and flies off into the woods to cry, where he blames himself for getting lost and running away from his friends when they were only trying to help him]].
** [[spoiler:Master Quoker telling Abel that the Master Quoker he's searching for is [[ThatManIsDead no longer around]] in the Minilife Chronicles episode "The Student and The Master" is heartbreaking considering that getting corrupted by Mako has made him feel like a shell of his former self.]]

** In "Crossing Ian", Ian dedicates a memorial statue to his bodyguard Diego Sanchez (who he barely knew) for sacrificing himself to protect him from an assassin and defends him when the unnamed female character shows no sympathy for his sacrifice.
** In "Mime Support", Chris and Ian help promote the Chaplin Foundation for Down and Out Mimes because of a former mime named Larry who was fired for talking when he found out a woman (who was later revealed to be named Tabatha) that he fell in love with already had a boyfriend.
*** "The Party" reveals that [[spoiler:he's made a full recovery, as Chris tells him that he slapped Tabatha for costing him his job]].
** In "That's So Gay!", Chris and Ian try to turn the titular phrase into a positive one so that it's no longer hurtful to gay people. Why? Because they heard two guys make homophobic remarks about their openly gay friend Todd and wanted to stand up for him.
** [[spoiler:Snowball hosting a funeral for his friend Rob in "The Lost Undead" is thoughtful considering he wasn't given a proper burial by his owner, and although he finds it unconventional that he chooses to honor him by putting his jacket on a dummy strapped to a firework, he's come to accept that from his family.]]
