* AssholeVictim: Xander. At the end of Volume 8, Karine chooses to leave the weed from Gary's coat in his car, and calls the cops on him. Yes, Xander was kind of a douche and was milking his brother's death for publicity with a very moving, completely fake song (he hated his [[InsistentTerminology half]]-brother and had originally written the song long ago about his dog), but was it really enough to justify ruining his career and giving him a police record? That said, weed or not, he ''was'' drunk when he drove off, and that was his own choice. However, Karine's motive was not so much protecting other drivers, as it was to get his band out of the competition to win an award

* BreatherEpisode: ''[[GagSeries Les Vacheries des Nombrils]]'' in general, which started right after volume 7.

* KnightOfCerebus: The BitchInSheepsClothing sure was a nasty piece of work, but come on. What could be worse in a teenage drama? Answer: well, how about a KnightTemplar SerialKiller? Yes. He's as horrifying as it sounds.

* BaseBreakingCharacter: Albin. Some fans like him and think he brings out the best in Karine, while others think he's a controlling bastard and Karine's change wasn't really her own choice. Even in-universe he can be considered this, as some of the characters really like him, others really loathe him, and some (especially Karine in volumes 7 and 8) can't make up their minds whether he's basically an okay guy with some serious character flaws, or whether he's basically a terrible person who's just really good at pretending he isn't one.

** Readers are split between those who find Vicky an endearing and complex characters with potential to fully be redeemed and those who consider a StaticCharacter who hasn't developed the slightest since the beginning of the series and find it hard to forgive her bitch-y personality and horrible treatment of Karine in the first volumes. The fact that the series has stopped and it's unlikely it will be completed, essentially leaving her status in limbo, makes things worse.

* HollywoodHomely: Justified by the series being about the absurdity of appearances and the PopularityFoodChain. The "ugly" characters being called ugly as such by judgemental and superficial teenagers.
