This makes no sense. Transgender people (not "transgenders") have existed as long as humanity has, and gender change surgery has existed for close to a century. Both have been mainstream knowledge in the US since the 1970s, not the 2010s. This in turn has absolutely nothing to do with bathrooms in bars being gender-specific ... like almost every public bathroom is.
