* MexicansLoveSpeedyGonzales: Despite Agent Whiskey being meant as a TakeThat towards US drug policies, he's still popular among American viewers thanks to his unique fighting style, Southern charm, and all-around badass nature. Creator/PedroPascal's charismatic performance certainly helped a lot, too.

* MagnificentBastard: "Agent Whiskey", real name Jack Daniels, is a high-ranking member of the American Statesman agency. After helping Gary "Eggsy" Unwin plant a tracker on a suspect through a sexual act, Whiskey then saves Harry Hart from rude guys in a bar by beating them all up single-handedly and later on takes out a bunch of armed gunmen all on his own too with minimal use of his signature lasso, even using his surroundings to his advantage. Taking advantage of both the situation and of Poppy Adams's massive poisoning of all her drug users with a deadly virus as part of a ransom scheme, Whiskey makes it look like he destroyed the antidote vial they retrieved completely by accident. Later confronting, threatening and fighting Eggsy and Harry, Whiskey reveals he intends for all drug users to die not for the potential profit Statesman would achieve in their sales, but because his own pregnant wife was senselessly murdered by two meth users years ago.

* IdiotPlot: The could have been completely avoided had Eggsy actually acted like the elite superspy he was trained to be. In the opening minutes of the film, he leaves Charlie's robotic arm unsupervised in his car rather than confiscate it despite barely surviving an assassination attempt. This allows Charlie to control the arm remotely to hack the Kingsman network and bring down the whole organization, kicking off the plot. But there are also numerous other moments that start unnecessary subplots:
** Eggsy needs to engage in sexual relations with another woman to plant a tracker on her, and yet feels the need to call Tilde to get her permission, endangering a mission in which hundreds or even thousands of people have already died for. All this succeeds in doing is getting Tilde to break up with him and he plants the tracker anyways. This seems to be a contrivance to put Tilde in enough emotional distress to unknowingly take some of Poppy's tainted drugs.
** Eggsy for some reason taking only one sample of the antidote when he was surrounded by crates of the stuff, and then getting it broken when he takes the antidote out of its protective case for absolutely no reason, forcing him to assault Poppy's hideout directly which leads to Merlin's death.

** Not to mention somehow removing all the other biological tissue and fluids, and making sure that there isn't any splatter from blood, or other fluids. The meat grinder is quite implausibly the cleanest form of death in the entire franchise. And one which magically renders human meat into...beef? It's well known that both raw and cooked human muscle mass most resembles pork, not beef.
