** DIO is sometimes depicted as a bumbling dad who raised Giorno and being a SitcomArchnemesis with Jotaro and baby Jolyne even when circumstances not allowing the two to meet at all in the main story. Sometimes Giorno is depicted with his current hairstyle as an infant even though he only got it as a teenager with his Stand.

** It isn't too hard to find overlap between the ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' and ''[=JoJo=]'' fandoms, given the amount of crossover memes the fandoms produce. It helps that both tend to suffer ItsPopularNowItSucks thanks to both fandoms being rather large and vocal. Some have even called ''[=JoJo=]'' "the ''Homestuck'' of anime".

** Noriaki Kakyoin gets PutOnABus during the Egypt Arc and suffers from TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter (See below) as he [[spoiler:dies at the end]]. It doesn't stop him from having a massive number of fanart in {{Pixiv}} and having his own share of memes that are popular within the fandom. It's not much of a surprise to see him be the only character along with Jotaro to appear in all demos of ''[[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureEyesOfHeaven Eyes of Heaven]]'' and the [[AdaptationExpansion Anime adding in extra scenes to expand his character]].

** Pocoloco in Part 7. A boring fool with an absurd amount of luck (which is his Stand's power) who never grows as a person because of his complacent dependence on his power. No surprise that Araki put him on the sidelines when he kicked off the real plot. [[spoiler:Him winning 1st place in the Steel Ball Run instead of Johnny only spouted more hate for him.]]

** Part 4, at least from [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff the perspective of Japan]]. It's regarded as one of the less popular parts over there due to being the first PostScriptSeason and [[{{Retcon}} showing]] [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot it badly]] [[LeftHanging at times]]. But due to it being Araki's personal favorite part, it gets noticeably disproportionate representation in merchandise and spinoffs (such as the lopsided initial roster of ''VideoGame/JojosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle'', which angered even Western fans) compared to other parts of the series.
** From the Western perspective, Part 3. Despite not being held in very high regard in the West, it was until 2015 the only part to receive an official translation, and most merchandise is based on it. To rub salt in the wound, the AnimatedAdaptation of Part 3 was the first one to get a dub. Although this is mainly caused by the overexposure of Part 3 and nothing else while denying other parts' chance to shine.
*** Jotaro himself is also an example, since he is by far [[SpotlightStealingSquad the most]] [[WolverinePublicity likely]] [[CharacterFocus to be featured]] in [=JoJo=]-related media, and being one of the most recognizable aspects of the series due to PopCulturalOsmosis only exacerbates this tendency, despite being one of the most controversial [=JoJos=] due to already being perceived as a MartyStu on top of having a personality considered unlikeable. This causes many fans to go from indifference or or mere dislike to downright despising him, at least for his Part 3 incarnation (see RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap).

* CommonKnowledge: There is a surprisingly high number of casual fans, and critics, that say that Jonathan was the father of Joseph. This isn't true as Part 2 clearly explains that Joseph is Jonathan's grandson. Even if you discount the TangledFamilyTree that is the Joestar lineage its still ridiculous that so many people believe this when one of the main arcs of Part 2 [[spoiler:was the reveal of who Joseph's mother is.]]

** Due to the anime using real world songs for the endings, this pops up a lot on YouTube. It is a great cross-pollination of JoJo fans who haven't heard of bands with fans of certain bands more than happy to have new fans. The process usually goes- A new ED is released. Fans of [=JoJo=] bombard the song on YouTube. Fans of the song ask, "What the hell is JoJo?". Anime fans spew memes and explain what JoJo is. Band fans get into [=JoJo=], while telling anime fans "This song is great but listen to some other songs by this artist." Anime fans listen to other songs and gain more respect for the bands. If anime fans don't care for the song or the band, it's okay! The sheer influx of anime fans checking out the original song send the view count to incredible levels.

** Part 5, sort of. Thanks to a proper translation, many people have begun appreciating the Part and see its initial reception as undeserved.
** ''Every time'' a new Opening for the anime comes out. No really, people will hate the opening shown, then when they get the next one, they go and hate that one for different reasons.

* VindicatedByHistory: ''[=JoJo's=] Bizarre Adventure'' has always been popular in Japan, but it took a while for it to catch on in the West. While it was never hated in Western countries, it was always pushed aside by other Magazine/ShonenJump series and remained a CultClassic at best, thanks to [[NoExportForYou a lack of localization]] (primarily due to the [[ShoutOut/JoJosBizarreAdventure character names]] creating [[ScrewedByTheLawyers a gigantic mess of legal issues]]), although MemeticMutation caused a bump in popularity in the early 2000's. Then it gained a proper anime (as opposed to 13 short [=OVAs=]) in 2012, and because it came nearly 25 years after the manga started, it has no {{filler}} and it doesn't have to worry about [[OvertookTheManga taking a different path in the story]]. Because of this and [[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle the tie-in game]], [=JoJo=] became exponentially more popular in TheNewTens, an era where fellow Shonen series started going the DeaderThanDisco route.
