* FanficFuel: With the many Disney movies and TV shows having come out since the show's ending, many people who write fanfics or draw fanarr about this show often write stories involving characters from movies such as ''Disney/{{Frozen}}'', ''Disney/WreckItRalph'', ''Disney/BigHero6'', and others being involved in the hijinks at the House of Mouse.

* AwesomeMusic: The score for ''House of Villains'' feels like vintage, almost creepy Halloween music.

** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbh1LNQxgkk It's Our House Now]], a triumphant, exciting VillainSong for all of Disney's villains as they initiate their HostileShowTakeover, and evict the heroes by force. The instrumental is also very catchy, especially with that jazzy feel to it. Good luck getting that out of your head.

* JustHereForGodzilla: Many on the Internet have looked up videos of the original ''House of Villains'' VHS' promo reel to find one of the first commercials for a little video game called ''[[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsI Kingdom Hearts]]''

* {{Narm}}: Near the climax of ''House of Villains'', while Mickey is trying to battle said villains, Disney/{{Aladdin}} shows up outside the door for about three seconds, tosses in Jafar's lamp, then flies away on Carpet. It's very abrupt.
* PopularityPolynomial: Despite being an obvious quick cash-in with a half-made plot, ''Mickey's House of Villains'' has enjoyed a small wave of popularity in later years, as evidenced by its' addition to Netflix. Seems it's the nostalgia factor that sells it.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: ''Mickey's House of Villains'' - The advertised plot of the villains taking over the House takes a back seat to the cartoon shorts contained within. Then at the end, Mickey and Jafar have an anticlimactic battle which results in all the other villains fleeing in terror simply because Mickey's figured out [[SealedEvilInACan Jafar's weakness]]. And it took 3/4 of the movie to even ''get to the takeover''. After about seven cartoons, we cut to the villains again and Jafar tells the other villains to simply wait for midnight. ''Then'' after another cartoon, we get the takeover.

** In ''House of Villains'', after taking over the villains just show two shorts that are scarier than the ones Mickey used.

** When Jafar knocked Yen Sid's hat off of Mickey's head during their duel in ''House of Villains'', Goofy and Minnie talk like they're all doomed. What was stopping them from just throwing the hat back to him? Especially seeing as they do the same with the lamp not four seconds later.

* AdaptationDisplacement: Many people are unaware that the ''Mickey [=MouseWorks=]'' shorts aired as their own show before being used as segments on ''House of Mouse''. Somewhat justified due to many ''[=MouseWorks=]'' shorts making their debut on ''House of Mouse'' without airing on ''Mickey [=MouseWorks=]'' previously.
