* DiscreditedMeme: The below mentioned "Psychopathic Nodoka" meme quickly fell out of popularity from ''Pretty Cure'' fans once the initial shock of the episode wore off, as many saw the meme as insulting since it serves no purpose than to undermine Nodoka's growth as a character. Brining it up in current discussions will only bring groans and counter-arguments instead.

* IKnewIt: Fans who had previously watched ''Series/KamenRiderExAid'' half-jokingly predicted the reveal that [[spoiler:Daruizen is Nodoka’s EnemyWithout in the same way Parado is to Emu, as the personification of the virus that afflicted her in childhood]].

Shipping Goggles TRS cleanup, out-of-universe examples are to be removed as it's now just Fan Speak.

** Fans who ship Nodoka × Daruizen cried ShipTease at the moment in episode 6 when he put his hand on her cheek, despite the fact that he was invoking his WalkingWasteland powers to harm her when he did that.
** An even more disturbing example in episode 27, when he [[spoiler:forces a Mega Part into her body]], resulting in [[spoiler:Kedary spawning from her]] in the next episode, with some shippers even saying [[spoiler:Kedary is the child of Nodoka and Daruizen, never mind the circumstances of how said child was “[[ChildByRape conceived]].”]]

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter:
** Shindoine and Guaiwaru were Terabyogens just like Daruizen, but only Daruizen had an origin story on how he formed, with being [[spoiler:the parasite that ruined Nodoka's life and made her sick]]. The closest thing we got to Shindoine was that when she was summoned by King Byo-gen, [[LoveAtFirstSight she admired him immediately]] shortly after being upset that she was summoned. Guaiwaru didn't even have an origin revealed to begin with. Some fans were a bit disappointed that they didn't really get too in-depth on them regarding their hosts.
** Batetemoda is introduced as a SixthRanger DragonWithAnAgenda for the Byogens who clearly has his own plans which may interfere with that of the rest of the Byogens. Unfortunately we never get to see what exactly these plans are as he's swiftly KilledOffForReal by Cure Earth in her debut episode.
** Nebusoku and Kedary are two generals born from the villains' use of the Mega Parts who last a grand total of one episode each. They both have unique designs and personalities but may as well be no different from the rest of the [[MonsterOfTheWeek Megabyogens]] due to how swiftly they're defeated. Kedary's case is particularly egregious due to him being born as a result of [[spoiler: Dairuizen forcibly injecting a Mega Part into Nodoka's body and as a result looking like a younger version of him, so seeing him go down so fast is disappointing.]]
** Asumi, to some extent. While she does get some episodes to herself after she joins the team, she feels OutOfFocus in the second half of the show while the rest of the girls get several episodes each devoted to CharacterDevelopment. Compared to them, Asumi just feels like a background character without much personality aside from her devotion to Latte. [[WhatCouldHaveBeen It also doesn't help that some of the intended episodes]] [[TroubledProduction cut due to COVID]] would have focused on her.
** The cast of ''[[Anime/YesPrettyCure5 Yes! Pretty Cure 5 [=GoGo!=]]]'' return for TheMovie! Except they only show up for the first fight of the movie before getting captured by the BigBad and are out of commission until the final battle. The ''[=GoGo!=]'' Cures don't even show up in their civilian clothes until one of the very last scenes of the movie and neither do they show up at all during the end credits or the DancePartyEnding with the [[Anime/TropicalRougePrettyCure Tropical-Rouge]] Cures.

* GeniusBonus: Many fans find Earth being purple as a bad color choice instead of her being green, finding it as just another case to shoehorn red, blue, yellow and purple Cures once again into another series. But, either due to it being intentional or unintentional, Earths Purple color references the Purple Earth theory were at one stage of Earths history, the majority of single celled organisms that acted similar to plants were theorized to have a purple pigment, before the current green single celled organisms that would become modern day plants became dominant.

It's not a YMMV trope

* HardTruthAesop: You are not obligated to save everyone that begs for help, especially if they have caused nothing but pain and suffering to you and your loved ones, which is a surprisingly dark, yet necessary message by the franchise's standards. Even when Nodoka expressed slight guilt over rejecting Daruizen's plea, Rabirin eased her concerns by telling her she made the right choice, not just for everyone else, but for herself as well.

* OlderThanTheyThink: The series stars a blue penguin with a yellow beak who is very anxious and has an energetic pink friend, which Western fans may find [[WesternAnimation/TheBackyardigans a little familiar]].
