Added DiffLines:

* AngstWhatAngst: Lars was killed by the Baron while trying to protect Agatha and [[DyingDeclarationOfLove revealed his love to her while dying in her arms]], causing Agatha to become more angry than ever before. However, after the Mechanicsburg arc began, Lars is never mentioned again and Agatha quickly moved on to her other love interests: Gil, whose father killed Lars, and Tarvek, whose family's actions indirectly helped cause his death.

** Largely averted, as the {{Fanservice}} comes primarily from [[NerdsAreSexy Agatha]] and Zeetha (or Gil and Tarvek, depending on preference) while [[AxCrazy Bangladesh DuPree]], a very attractive ComedicSociopath, stays fully clothed (aside from one scene where she's, naturally enough, sleeping in pajamas). This is most likely a reflection of Creator/PhilFoglio's philosophy on sexuality from his ''XXXenophile'' days, which placed an emphasis on fun and entertaining situations.

The slaver wasps.wasps. Every thing revealed about them just makes them worse. The novels reveal they ''fuse'' to the nerves of their victims. And the reason they initially didn't work on Sparks? It's not because the Other ''couldn't'' make them like that, [[spoiler:it just made a promise to the Knights of Jove.]]
** The fate of Passholdt, and its inhabitants.

** [[spoiler: Lady Margarella]]. GenreSavvy readers should know better. She lives and survives in DeadlyDecadentCourt and was the wife of important person(?) Just look at her character's spoiler-ed bits. Seeing that some families in the comic are even color-coded, it wasn't too difficult to figure out who she belonged to.

Added DiffLines:

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: The comic has been much more willing to use the UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist style of humor in recent years, with threats and violence becoming its largest source of humor. What's more, Agatha herself is becoming more jaded to heroics as the series goes on and is more willing to engage in minor acts of PragmaticVillainy.

Added DiffLines:

* StrangledByTheRedString: Zeetha and Higgs' relationship. The Mechanicsburg story line lasted over six years so their romance had a decent amount of time to develop, but in-universe they had only known each other for less than a day before they declared their love for one another.

* ArcFatigue: Severe, in the case of the Mechanicsburg arc. The "Castle Heterodyne" storyline took '''five years''' to complete; in comic-time, only a day or two passed. In real-time, from the [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070228 first page showing Mechanicsburg]] to the [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20130508 moment Tweedle drags Agatha (and Violetta and Krosp) through the cathedral portal just as Klaus's "Take Five Bomb" detonates]] is over six years.

** The post timeskip storylines have been criticized for being too chaotic, having many twists and turns without actually resolving or continuing any plot points.
