* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: An interesting example, in where it's firmly dated by it's entire aesthetic and production techniques. The cinematography, camera angles, coloring, color washing of scenes, editing and style of direction all firmly date this movie to the late 1990s. There are plenty of scenes that feel like they're right out of a particularly moody/dramatic period TV commercial. Watching the two main characters run around a Big Kmart store seals the deal.[[note]]The presence of a Kmart will date any film to the late 1990s at the latest given how hard they've tanked since 2000. In the 1990s Kmart had close to 3,000 stores nationwide and was one of the leading big box retail giants alongside Wal-Mart and Target. As of 2020 Kmart only operates 40 stores in 12 states.[[/note]]
