** Mai fights using Iaijutsu, despite the fact that her sword is not a katana, so it's pretty impressive.

** So, how potent is actually Akiko's jam? In VisualNovel/Kanon it was already bad enough, but in EFZ the girls are powerful enough to hold their own in wonderful duels, and despite that, a single taste of the jam is enough to make them succumb! * FridgeBrilliance:
** Most of the girls are users of improbable weapons, but then, we have Rumi Nanase, wielding a wooden kendo sword. Why such weapon in particular? Well, it's a reference to her being part of a kendo club at her old school in ONE ~ To The Radiant Season, before she was transferred and forced to give it up.
** Among the improbable weapons which may not be so improbable after all, we have Mizuka's schoolbag and cello (to reflect her musical taste), Mio's notebook (Which she uses to communicate), sleepy Nayuki with a Keropi doll, Mai's ghost partner (Also called Mai, by the way) with her bunny-eared headband, sweet and cheerful Sayuri with a magical shape-changing wand, etc.
** When Misuzu calls Yukito, what actually happens is that her crow partner Sora materializes as Yukito, which makes sense, since this is what happened in VisualNovel/AIR, only reversed.
* FridgeLogic:
** If Misaki is blind, and Nayuki is asleep, how can they fight? Well it's not uncommom hearing about heroes who, while blind, can also be powerful fighters, such as ComicBook/DareDevil, Kenshi, Toph, the guy from Film/BlindFury, etc. And there's also the ability to sense energy, so, why not?\\
Also, in Manga/Kinnikuman, King Muscle and Kid Muscle developed something similar to a "fighting while asleep" technique, due to them sleeping in the same bed. So, if Nayuki's style with kicks is pretty awesome for itself, seeing her fighting while asleep is really impressive.
** As mentioned in the main page, Makoto uses a gun as a weapon, and can fire it in front of her opponent, but it counts as a melee attack. Any reason for that other than gameplay?
** So, Why does Nayuki (Awake) fight only with kicks? Yeah, yeah... As a reflection of her being captain of her school's track team... but, can't help but think there's something else.\\
Actually there is, it's because she has her hands occupied with her schoolbag, which she uses as a shield, to block incoming attacks.
** Any reason for Kaori to fight only with punches? Easy, because Nayuki, her best friend, took all the kicking.

* FunnyMoments:
** Akiko Minase's Final Memory, called "there's also some that isn't sweet" features her famous inedible jam. If this move connects, she prepares a breakfast to her opponent with a slice of bread with some jam on. Each girl reacts slightly different to this before taking a bite: For example, Awake Nayuki is shivering in fear, Misaki is happy with the big toast she has on the table, Ojou Sayuri thanks Akiko as she proceeds to eat it with knife and fork, etc. Each of the individual reactions is priceless.
** Then we have Akiko Minase in general, as her fighting style involves using an amazing array of household items. In VisualNovel/Kanon, Akiko is a nice and kind mom towards Nayuki and her friends, and she certainly wouldn't harm a fly, so this makes her fighting style even funnier, as she motherly and kindly beats them up. And her super move where she smashes a car against her opponent? This one has shades of BlackComedy, as it's based on the occasion in VisualNovel/Kanon where Yeah, she has a strange sense of humor.
** If Misuzu's winqoutes are any indication, it seems the other girls are concerned about the idea of tasting her pulpy peach juice; Misuzu sounds pretty upset when they decline her offer.
** The game as a whole: Seeing how the girls were given powers and fun fighting skills, and are actually throwing down for no particular reason is pretty fun for itself. For example, we have Nayuki Minase: A HeavySleeper, she turned her weakness into her best strength with her "sleepy boxing" style, and when awake, she's a powerful KickChick, given she's IKnowMaddenKombat a great runner, or Misuzu Kamio: sweet, innocent, shy... and a tricky and versatile TrapMaster who will not hesitate to use tiered curses or poisons to drain her opponent's life bar; or Mishio Amano, who started as an antisocial and distant girl, but eventually warmed up to others (she eventually served as MsExposition to Yuuichi and became friends with Makoto), in this game she's a master with the spear, and her fighting style involves enchanting it with elemental powers of fire, or thunder, for various attacks.\\
It doubles as a heartwarming moment: works by KeyVisualArts are known for having really sad and depressing stories, to the point that here in Wiki/TVTropes, they warn readers to "bring tissues"; and the characters, specially the ones from VisualNovel/AIR and VisualNovel/Kanon, are known to have psychological issues, sad backstories, and in general, they have to go through a lot of pain and suffering before they earn their happy endings (which they do), so, you will feel happy for all of them (Even for Kanna, if you've seen VisualNovel/AIR you don't mind her SNKBoss status), seeing them fighting, being geniunely happy, and in general, doing SomethingCompletelyDifferent, feels like an additional bonus. If you have just completed the original novels or seen the anime versions, playing this game is like inviting a little of positivity back to your brain. And for this same reason, you will also feel happy for Kanna (If you can pass over her SNKBoss status).
*** And for this very same reason, fans of VisualNovel/Kanon will feel happy for .
** It's already listed as a funny moment, but Akiko's Final Memory can be counted as well: the fact that some girls are still terrified about the idea of tasting her "Special Jam" will surely touch your heart. Yeah, they're powerful and capable fighters, but they're also young, innocent girls. The most notable examples are Ayu, Makoto, and of course, Nayuki, who previously had experience with the jam.
** In VisualNovel/AIR, Kano, Minagi and Yukito are DemotedToExtra, and never referenced again; so, seeing them fighting is refreshing, as they were given a second chance to shine: Kano is a powerful user of elemental magic, Minagi weaponizes her rice tickets and fights on par with her friend Michiru, and no matter Yukito is just an AssistCharacter, seeing him helping Misuzu in battle is both awesome and heartwarming (What actually happens is that Sora materializes as Yukito, but still...)

Anyone familiar with VisualNovel/AIR surely knows that , so, seeing her in this game, happy and will make you feel happy for her. And for this same reason, you will also feel happy for Kanna (If you can pass over her SNKBoss status).
** *** And for this very same reason, fans of VisualNovel/Kanon will feel happy for .
** It's already listed as a funny moment, but Akiko's Final Memory can be counted as well: the fact that some girls are still terrified about the idea of tasting her "Special Jam" will surely touch your heart. Yeah, they're powerful and capable fighters, but they're still also young, innocent girls. The most notable examples are Ayu, Makoto, and of course, Nayuki, who previously had experience with the jam.

* GameBreaker: Kanna, simply Kanna.

to:

* GameBreaker: Kanna, simply Kanna.Kanna: Her attacks have huge range and priority, and she wasn't nerfed for the multiplayer, which means players can abuse her high-priority attacks and damage outputs, so she's normally banned from high-level play. She's like a combination of Justice and Dizzy, both from VideoGame/GuiltyGear.

* HilariousInHindsight: The game has a cast of 23 playable characters, distributed in an 8x3 grid, with the second place of the last row reserved for the random select. Several years later, comes Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!!, another all-female FightingGame, which use the exact same distribution for its roster.

** Then we have Akiko Minase in general, as her fighting style involves using an amazing array of household items. Have in mind that in VisualNovel/Kanon, Akiko is a nice and kind mom towards Nayuki and her friends, and she certainly wouldn't harm a fly, so this makes her fighting style even funnier.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: As mentioned in the main page, virtually none of the girls come from stories that have anything to do with combat, and despite that, in EFZ they all can throw down in spectacular fashion. This sole fact makes their fighting styles even more interesting and fun to watch.
* FunnyMoments: Akiko Minase's Final Memory, called "there's also some that isn't sweet" features her famous inedible jam.
