* FanonDiscontinuity: FanonDiscontinuity:
** Fans near-universally take the Big Finish audios to be the canonical (or at least as close to canonical as we're ever likely to get) account of the Eighth Doctor's life, with this merely being an AlternateUniverse version of his adventures. This is in no small part because the events of those audios have been obliquely mentioned in the revived series at several points, whereas these books have never been acknowledged by the series.
**
The series' two Dalek books are almost universally reviled by fans for upending Dalek/Skaro canon.canon. War of the Daleks in particular is essentially one long series of retcons of all the stories involving Davros, with the goal of explaining that everything bad that happened to the Daleks in those stories (their ultimately unsuccessful war with the Movellans, the civil war between Davros' and the Dalek Supreme's factions, and the destruction of Skaro) was just part of an extremely long GambitRoulette scheme to get rid of Davros.(Though, showing that the author was at least aware of the controversy this would cause, one of Davros' lines allows for the interpretation that everything we saw in those stories did happen as depicted, and the Daleks are just pulling an epic case of IMeantToDoThat) Legacy of the Daleks isn't considered as bad in this regard, but is still disliked for its HappyEndingOverride of "The Dalek Invasion of Earth", as well as the unsatisfactory explanation of how the Creator/RogerDelgado incarnation of the Master met his end.

Foe Yay has been cut

* FoeYay: The Doctor mostly just thinks it's hilarious that Sabbath literally "stole his heart", but there is quite a lot of legitimate sexual tension. Camera Obscura really lays it on thick between the Doctor and Sabbath (flirting, kissing, generally getting all up close and personal), and in Sometime Never, Sabbath actually admits he's "more than a little fond of" the Doctor. (Aww.) Well, with the Master gone, the Doctor clearly needs a recurring FriendlyEnemy to have sexual tension with, right? More on the Doctor Who Foe Yay page. It seems like Lloyd Rose likes this trope, since in City of the Dead, one of the villains is a MadArtist who makes a bit of a fuss over the Doctor's attractiveness, and another one who... well.
-->'[...]You're my key. Or my bait. Probably both. But in either case -' he traced a forefinger along the Doctor's long upper lip - 'you're all mine.'
-->The Doctor twisted away but Dupre tightened his grip, holding him still. 'You can't get free,' he said softly. 'I've made very sure of that.' He slid his hand down to the Doctor's chest.

* Adorkable: Fitz is gawky, scruffy, clumsy, and surprisingly bookish. He often lives in his own little world, and despite all his attempts to seem mysterious and dangerous is really just a NiceGuy. Fitz's rather epic crush on the Doctor makes their interaction even cuter.

Unfortunate Implications require a link so as to prove it's not just one person's opinion.

* UnfortunateImplications: When Fitz first meets Sam, she winds up sleeping off a concussion. Unsurprisingly, she's a little out of it when she wakes up, and Fitz spends a while pretending they'd slept together, and acting hurt that she doesn't remember. It's PlayedForLaughs, but he's essentially trying to convince Sam he'd date raped her. And to make it even worse, he gets completely naked for the sake of his little joke at her expense, which is pretty much indecent exposure.

** Fitz Kreiner. He was peer pressured into smoking to prove he's not some kind of rule-abiding Nazi (he's now addicted to nicotine), and worried about "getting his head kicked in" when he was three. There's a poem about it. It's almost like every EDA he's in is required to add another reason (or five) to why Fitz should be a horrible, cynical, broken person. The fact he's not is absolutely astonishing.
