* MisaimedFandom: Some people enjoyed Eddy getting beaten by his brother because of the quicksand prank. Others at least decided when Eddy's had enough and thought his brother could stop now.

** Yes, the Eds have been accepted by the kids at the end of the movie, but they'll still probably be punished for the collateral damage caused by "The Scam that Went Too Far" (which includes a broken water pipe, an uprooted tree, two damaged back yards, and a house filled with cement).

* ArcFatigue: A majority of the film covers the kids journeying from the cul-de-sac to Eddy's Brother's house, with next to no actual plot development. Almost everything between leaving the cul-de-sac and arriving at Eddy's Brother's house could be cut out of the film and very little would be lost.

* ValuesResonance: Eddy learning to accept himself, take responsibility for his actions and treat his friends with respect has aged well with bullying victims and bullies who try to downplay their actions.

* MoralEventHorizon: Eddy's Brother crosses it when he begins to hurt Eddy, and then admits freely that he's always done this to him throughout his life.

* AssPull: Eddy's brother's sociopathic nature was foreshadowed a few times in the original show, but the ending feels like this to some. All of the damage Eddy took was all of a sudden PlayedForDrama, and the kids instantly forgive and befriend the Eds afterwards.

* AngelDevilShipping: Somebody shipped Edd ([[TokenGoodTeammate the nicest guy]] in this show) and Eddy's Brother (a [[ChildHater child hating]] [[TheSociopath sociopath]] [[{{Squick}} twice his age]]).

* CrackPairing: [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys Eddy's Brother/Lee]] and [[AngelDevilShipping Eddy's Brother/Edd]], despite the fact that both of them were repulsed by his behaviour, took Eddy's side in the finale and are roughly half his age.

** Sarah and Kevin, as they [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty get some comeuppance for their behaviour in the seriess]] and finally accept the Eds. Kevin in particular is one of the first kids to stand up to Eddy's brother, and later even offers the Eds some of his jawbreakers.

* EarWorm: The "Friendship Song", heard earlier in "If It Smells Like an Ed".
