You never see what happens, but the movie implies he refused the offer when they get into the finals. After they win the finals, however, White reveals that Peter took him up on the offer, and Average Joe's is now his. ''However'', it turns out Peter bet the money he got from selling the gym into his team winning, thus winning enough money to buy out Globogym and every gym it's a part of, ''including'' Average Joe's.
