** Races are the best way to get money in ''Dead Heat Breakers'' during Story Mode. On days when races are not available, players can find themselves going to either the mart, the arcade or the garbage sort depending on their preferences. Each of these three outings has a slight disadvantage. The mart must be applied only the in morning and takes up the entire day, leaving you unable to apply to anywhere else. The arcade, while one of the more enjoyable ones is the only area that costs money to apply. Finally, the garbage sorting can be frantic due to its fast pace and Jolt getting in the way, though he can easily be pushed to a spot where he can't get close to the player.

Replacing dead link.

* UnintentionalUncannyValley: While animal Miis have been seen before (Such as the dogs in ''VideoGame/WiiSportsResort'' or the anthropomorphic dogs, cats, and rabbits in ''VideoGame/StreetpassMiiPlaza''), ''Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers'' marks the first time where the player can turn their own Miis into anthropomorphic animals (Called [[IncrediblyLamePun "Amiimals"]]). However, due to the Amiimals' having a slightly more realistic art-style compared to the aforementioned animal Miis, as well as their heads having a rather human-animal hybrid design to them, [[https://pm1.narvii.com/6824/5d738ce931b9cb05ddffc6edcf0a7b23e10d5535v2_hq.jpg they do not mix well with Mii faces and can end up looking rather unsettling]]. The bull and especially the mouse in the [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/dillonsrollingwestern/images/e/ef/00000790_09.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170914004146 official artwork for the Amiimals]] are especially worth noting about.

Not YMMV

* GameBreakingBug: ''Dead-Heat Breakers'' has a nasty one involving friends with pending invites, as trying to load Amiimal data for a Mii that doesn't exist on the system causes the game to crash.
