However, according to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtBAXvmBK5w this episode]] of Death Battle Cast, the crew didn't go into the episode with the intention of making another Batman fight: they wanted to put Black Panther in Death Battle because [[Film/BlackPanther2018 his movie]] was coming out and they looked through fan suggestions for who T'Challa's opponent could be; it just so happened that Batman was the most often suggested match-up by a landslide.
