** From "Spaced Out": CatDog's tomfoolery causing Mean Bob to be launched into the sun? Horrifying. Cat musing that at least there won't be a Mean Bob in Space: Part XIII? Hilarious!

Added example(s)

Added DiffLines:

* TooBleakStoppedCaring: One of the main criticisms of the show is it being little more than a SadistShow with [[SoOkayItsAverage little substance or anything to make it stand out amongst the other Nickelodeon shows.]] Albeit with the problem not necessarily that the characters themselves are all jerkasses (though that is a valid critique in of itself to some) more so the show just doesn't do anything interesting or special with it.

A Youtuber by the name of Cchanneleven uses a clip of Cat eating fried eggs for his Ko-Fi plug, and I like it.

** Having a character named "Lube" doesn't necessarily qualify for this...but one of the episodes is titled "All You Need Is Lube." Which could be read as both a ShoutOut and something else...

Renamed one trope.

* QuestionableCasting: The final episode finally introduced us to the pair's parents. Their father is [[spoiler:a frog with a human nose]]... played by ''Creator/BillyBobThornton.''

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: The show looks pretty tame at first, as it didn't have quite as much demographically inappropriate humor as other Nicktoons of its time. However, it was also a pretty violent show with some very disturbing imagery, on top of nearing Family Guy levels of SadistShow.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Winslow in "Guess Who's Gonna Be Dinner?" is portrayed as the sympathetic victim who desperately tries to avoid Cat's sudden pursuit. But when you take in account of the many times he's mistreated Cat and his brother (who still views Winslow as a friend despite all that), it's difficult to feel sorry for him and it mostly comes off as a KickTheSonOfABitch move on Cat's part.

Stock Parody Jokes is a disambig

* StockParodyJokes: No, seriously, ''how does [=CatDog=] go to the bathroom?'' Even when the show gives an answer in "Winslow's Home Videos", it still goes under the radar.
-->'''Cat:''' Hey, ''easy'' on the hot sauce, Dog! It might be going into ''your'' mouth, but remember, it has to pass through ''our'' colon. ''(cue the food going into Cat's end and him breathing fire)''
