Nebula orders his henchman Rhesus-2 to acquire the anti-force, but ends up tricked and reduced to a humanoid form. During the series, Nebula frequently threatens to kill Rhesus-2 when he fails him and shows how awful he truly is when it is revealed that when Rhesus-1 failed him too many times, Nebula violently killed and disposed of him. To complete his plan, Nebula captures Simian's crew, but since Simian was able to escape, Nebula orders Rhesus-2 to torture them until they give up Simian's location. When Simian does return and promises to give up the part he needs, Nebula reveals to Rhesus-2 that [[ILied he lied to him]] and was never planning on giving him a Pocket Universe to rule over.
