* TearJerker: "We'll Be Coming Back" has some melancholy lyrics. Fortunately, there's enough optimism in it to bring happy tears, too.
* WordSaladLyrics: Despite only having 5 lines in the song, Summer makes no sense when you put it into context. Calvin himself has lampshaded this.
** "Open Wide". The track has Music/BigSean rapping about his ex-wife and oral sex, and has no verses that make sense when put together.
** This was apparently the case with "We Found Love"; Calvin was trying to find words that sounded good with what he had produced. This turned out to be his greatest hit of 2012.

14 Signature Songs is way too much. Most of these fail to get across why they stand out as his most iconic, instantly-recognizable songs, and most are basically Awesome Music examples.

* SignatureSong: Being who he is, Calvin's bound to have many signature calling cards, some of which include:
** "We Found Love" featuring Rihanna is probably the biggest, since it's basically the track that got Calvin famous in America.
** "Feel So Close" and "Summer", have Harris himself singing the vocals, and are the songs that prevent people from getting him confused with another artist. The latter in particular after a popular meme was made from the song.
** "We'll Be Coming Back" featuring Example is also a well-known song throughout the community.
** "How Deep Is Your Love" with Disciples, featuring (uncredited) vocals from Ina Wroldsen became a very big hit during the summer of 2015. It also helped Disciples become immensely popular in both the States, and the UK.
** "Blame" featuring John Newman became one of the fastest chart climbers in 2014, and is well-liked throughout many clubs. It probably has the most remixes out any other one of Calvin Harris' tracks. Since Newman is very obscure compared to most of Harris' other collaborators, it is one of the songs least associated with the featured artist.
** "Slow Acid", is very popular with underground music listeners, since it uses Acid House sounds prominently featured in the works of Richard D. James and DJ Pierre.
** "I Need Your Love" and "Outside" both have English singer Music/EllieGoulding on vocals, and are considered to be some of Calvin's best works to date. The latter is even considered a masterpiece by Calvin Harris himself.
** "Pray to God" featuring HAIM, while not as popular as his other works, still deserves some credit due to breaking a bit from the formula that Harris works with.
** "Under Control" with Alesso featuring Hurts is also very popular in clubs and on the radio.
** "Let's Go" featuring Ne-Yo is slightly old-school, but is also a well-known radio hit.
** "This Is What You Came For" is Harris' biggest hit in America as a lead artists, but since its vocals are provided by his most famous collaborator, Rihanna, it is the song least associated with him of all his American hits.
** "Slide" has become a massive one, which has Harris working at slower tempos than he had previously, and combines the unlikely pair of Frank Ocean and Migos to provide vocals on a very different hip-hop sounding track.

* BrokenBase: Many parts of Calvin's fanbase prefer him more when he was a pop singer/disco producer than what he is now. People who don't know his previous work are split between thinking that he's a reliable producer who makes great dance hits, or is a generic and bland rich DJ who makes the same music over and over again.

* FriendlyFandoms: Typically is associated with Music/DavidGuetta, Music/Zedd, Dillon Francis, and Music/TaylorSwift (which Calvin used to date and even co-wrote "This Is What You Came For" under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg) on the radio, and the same can be said with their fandoms.
