** Creator/DerekStephenPrince, who voiced Noxic, voices Vexen/Even in the Franchise/KingdomHearts series. Creator/ShigeruChiba is the voice of Schwartz, the character from ''B-Fighter'' whom Noxic is based on, and is Vexen's current voice actor in the Japanese version of Videogame/KingdomHeartsIII.

* TheScrappy: Little Ghoul is abrasive and troublesome, but for some, the episode "Who's That Ghoul" really pushes her into Scrappy territory. She has done nothing for the protagonists but gotten them chased by the house monsters, but when a bounty hunter comes looking for her- for a crime she definitely committed- Flabber and the Borgs go to great lengths to defend her.

* DesignatedHero: Flabber is supposed to be the BigGood of the series. But given how he has a tendency to goof off instead of helping, and in one episode decides to gaslight newcomer Josh despite it being clear he shouldn’t be doing it right now, he comes off as very immature.

** In the episode "Mega Borg Power," the Beetleborgs trick the Crustaceans into losing the Astral Ax. The Titanium Silver Beetleborg gets ahold of it and Boron switches to the good guys. Before they team up to fight Repgillian, Boron states that he'd prefer fighting on the side of good instead of evil.

* OneSceneWonder: Although the White Blaster Beetleborg was short-lived, many fans enjoyed the dynamic of having a fourth Beetleborg, and were left hanging when Josh never showed up again, despite claiming that he'd be there if the others needed him. Even if there wasn't any ''B-Fighter'' footage they could work with, Josh still never returned, even as just a [[SecretKeeper friend who knew the Beetleborgs' secret identities]].

* StockFootageFailure: It's very noticeable in the first season, due to the fact that the Sonic Lasers would change color during the same fight in certain episodes. The US prop was a red/purple color scheme, like the US toys (which were changed for safety reasons). While in the ''B-Fighter'' footage, the gun props were silver and black, like a real fire arm (with the exception of the big blue keypad on the side). The Data Lasers were less noticeable due to the US props not being changed from the silver-and-black scheme. They were changed for the toy again, this time colored white and blue.
** At least one episode showed the Beetleborgs defeating the MonsterOfTheWeek in US footage with the plain Sonic Lasers- and when they cut to a ''B-Fighter'' shot of the monster exploding, the Beetleborgs were then shown holding the Sonic Laser Sabers!

*** Before they get new powers, the main three Beetleborgs wear [[ChromaticArrangement blue, green and red armor]]. They are later joined by a [[SixthRanger fourth Beetleborg]] [[GoodWearsWhite who wears white armor.]] Replace green with yellow and you have the colors worn by the teenage Dino Thunder Rangers.

*** The White Beetleborg has the power of invisible. Trent and Tommy (who has worn white [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers before) also have this ability.

** All four human Beetleborgs have unique powers that they can use in civilian form but not human form. This concept was used in almost every Creator/{{Disney}} Era season of ''Franchise/PowerRangers''. In fact, this show is practically a predecessor to ''Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder'':

** Trent Mercer, the White [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder Dino Thunder]] Ranger, has the same civilian power as Josh Baldwin, the white Beetleborg. Trent and the Blue Dino Thunder Ranger Ethan are [[AscendedFanboy geeks turned superheroes]] just like the Beetleborgs and the Red Dino Thunder Ranger Conner has SuperSpeed as a civilian power just like Roland.

* IdiotPlot: There would be no villains in the show if Flabber had not, by his own admission, "made a boo-boo". (There would be no heroes if the three main characters had not succumbed to peer pressure and gone to the haunted house, but children do that sort of thing all the time).

* DesignatedHero: Flabebr is supposed to be the BigGood of the series. But given how he has a tendency to goof off instead of helping, and in one episode decides to gaslight newcomer Josh despite it being clear he shouldn’t be doing it right now, he comes off as very immature.

* SpiritualAdaptation: Has one in WesternAnimation/PJMasks, and the closest you'd get to having an animated adaption of the show.

** Trent Mercer, the White [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder Dino Thunder]] Ranger, has the same civilian power as Josh Baldwin, the white Beetleborg. Trent and the Blue Dino Thunder Ranger Ethan are [[AscendedFanboy geeks turned superheroes]] just like the Beetleborgs and the Red Dino Thunder Ranger Conner has SuperSpeed as a civilian power just like Drew.

** Trent Mercer, the White [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder Dino Thunder]] Ranger, has the same civilian power as Josh Baldwin, the white Beetleborg.
