* CrazyIsCool: Bisk who thinks life is all one big video-game and even speaks exclusively in those terms but is able to steal technology needed for Megatron and his gang to perfect their Beast Upgrade via sneaking in to the Grand Mal (the builder's headquarters) in a cardboard box. Then, when the Vehicon Apocalypse breaks out, Bisk manages to survive by simply thinking it's a major level up opportunity and even gets the Golden Disk by the time it ends.

** Surprisingly unlike his original animated counterpart of a time travelling and Spark absorbing conqueror, Megatron here when he was Gnashteeth is actually shown to be [[AdaptationalHeroism actually quite a]] NiceGuy who is willing to talk to Maximal and he is legitimately trying to help his people, but then his mentor Double Punch screws him over...

*BaseBreakingCharacter: This series' incarnation of Lio Convoy. To many, he's a sociopath who justifies any atrocities his side commits to be "For the greater good." Others say the actions he takes are somewhat justified. That he ends the book with no real consequences does not help.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: Bisk's interaction with Megatron in "Not All Megatrons", where he's casually dismissive of one of the most powerful and ruthless crime bosses on Cybertron. Not to mention his inner monologue has him mulling between a dialogue choice which he turns down because he doesn't want to start a ''romance'' subplot (the exact word choice isn't given, but it's hinted that he could have been considering either flirting with Megatron(!) or ''swearing'' at him).

* FanonDiscontinuity: ''A Change to The Agenda'' and its idea that the ''Uprising'' universe was caused by the deaths of Optimus Prime and Megatron on the Ark during ''Beast Wars'', which doesn't line up with the world shown in previous stories. Notably Jim Sorenson has hand-waved the event away as creating multiple possible timelines not necessarily tied to Beast Wars: Uprising and co-writer David Bishop dislikes the implications it has of the ''Uprising'' being wrong and in need of fixing. The fact its a two page screen-cap comic makes it all the more galling.

The fact its a two page screen-cap comic makes it all the more galling. [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/A_Change_to_the_Agenda This apparently has to do with the fact that neither Pete Sinclair (who came up with the idea) and Jesse Wittenrich didn't actually give the memo to Jim Sorenson (who was writing the prose stories) about the new timeline, hence all of the inconsistencies.]]

*TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Many of the original ''Beast Wars'' Maximal cast. Optimus Primal, Rhinox, and Silverbolt were killed offscreen in the backstory, while Dinobot and Rattrap make only brief appearances in one story.
