Added DiffLines:

* VindicatedByHistory: The series garnered ''very'' mixed reception at first, due to being a DenserAndWackier take on the franchise with an artstyle compared to that of Creator/SethMacFarlane by more than a few, as well as coming off the heels of the much-beloved ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooMysteryIncorporated''. After it ended, and especially after the fierce backlash against ''WesternAnimation/{{Velma}}'' (which gave the franchise the AnimatedShockComedy treatment), the show began to be re-evaluated, and while the artstyle remains polarising, many admitted that the show was actually pretty funny in hindsight.

Misuse; Vindicated By History is not to be used when "Terrible work releases lately, now mediocre/bad work released before looks better" happens

* VindicatedByHistory: The show was met with a very polarizing response when it debuted, due to the drastically simplified character designs that were unfavorably compared to shows like ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' and having a DenserAndWackier tone. However, reception towards the series would become more positive over time specifically ''because'' it was a borderline SelfParody that exaggerated the common tropes of the ''Scooby-Doo'' formula in addition to giving every member of the gang a chance to partake in the comedy. It helped that fans of this installment would come compare its approach to parody to that of ''WesternAnimation/{{Velma}}'' during the height of that show's backlash a few years later, as ''Velma'' would come to be widely panned by ''Scooby'' fans for being [[TooBleakStoppedCaring too overtly mean-spirited]] and [[ShallowParody seemingly having little respect for even the basics of the franchise]], resulting in a positive reevaluation of this incarnation by the wider fanbase.
