* UnexpectedCharacter: While Sanae is a mid-boss in Subterranean Animism, at the time of the doujin's events she has no ties to the plot or the characters, so her appearance is straight out of the blue.

* NightmareFuel: Both time, especially the second one, . She's crying and screaming as , all while the entire things are still drawn in a generally cutesy artstyle.

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Okuu , gaining her adult form in the process, is so spectacular it warrants a double page with a gorgeous Art Bump.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: Overall this is far from a comedy doujin, but Karaage gets much use out of their experience with writing them. Okuu provides the bulk of the moments, like when she tearfully interrupts Satori and Orin praying to "the god of eggs" by announcing that she ate the egg.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: Any time Orin and Okuu devote themselves to making their guardians happy, and any time Satori and Koishi slowly repair their bond piece by piece.
* TearJerker: Absolutely full of them, almost as many as the above two, pulling the bulk of the EmotionalTorque. Probably the most painful is Koishi breaking down in tears over no longer being able to connect with her sister, thinking she hates her, but still not really understanding why she's crying.
* TheWoobie: All the Chireiden CastHerd to some extent, but poor Koishi is head and shoulders above the rest of them.
* Woolseyism: Yatagarasu's "I'm serious as cancer" line isn't quite a literal translation, but it fits nicely with the radiation theme.
