* FridgeLogic: Why is Willy allowed to keep Buck after the movie? Buck is a survival robot that was part of the standard equipment of the escape pod, and whose only purpose is to help those that use the escape pod survive till rescue arrives. It would make more sense that, now that his mission to help Willy is completed, he'd be repurposed for a new escape pod. One coudl argue that the ship and the escape pod where both property of Willy's parents, and thus by extend so is Buck, but this seems unlikely.
